Three of the biggest female pop stars have joined forces in a new song for the Elizabeth Banks-directed reboot of “Charlie’s Angels.”
In a tweet posted Wednesday, Miley Cyrus hinted at a collaboration between herself, Lana Del Rey, and Ariana Grande in the forthcoming film. Alongside a 14-second teaser, originally posted by Sony Pictures, the singer wrote: “WE ARE COMING! @CharliesAngels 👼 @arianagrande @LanaDelRey.”

The short clip plays an upbeat track while the iconic “Angels” logo flashes on the screen, but it’s unclear whether the teaser’s song is the one created by the famous trio or just another song on the film’s soundtrack. Sony Pictures originally posted the teaser on Twitter, announcing that the official trailer will be released tomorrow, June 27.
Ariana also took to social media to hint at the collab, posting the same teaser to her Instagram and tagging Lana, Cyrus, the official Angels account, and Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska who will play angels in the latest installment. “Trailer tomorrow 👼🏼” Grande wrote.
In addition to new songs, Elizabeth Banks has made many changes to the iconic franchise, including a new star-studded cast of angels, including Balinska, Scott, and Kristen Stewart. Another update to the formula includes a change-up to the story’s staple Bosley character, who acts as Charlie’s representative and was played by Bill Murray in the 2000 film. Now, rather than simply being a character, Bosley will serve as a rank in the organization, much like lieutenants. Banks, Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou will hold the Bosley rank in the forthcoming film.

Lana Del Rey becomes a Charlie’s Angels as she joins Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande on music video shoot
Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey have been pictured shooting the music video for their upcoming lead single Don’t Call Me Angel, to support the new Charlie’s Angels film. Lana was seen rocking a very Charlie’s Angel-themed outfit, wearing tight black trousers with a leather jacket and biker boots after arriving on set in Los Angeles in a lavender top and denim shorts. Miley was also seen in a red and white stripe shirt, and the pop stars were thought to have been joined by Ariana Grande as well, although she was not pictured.
The girls were asked to do the official soundtrack to the Kristen Stewart and Elizabeth Banks’ film, and it’s giving us some major summer, girl power, independent women vibes and more. Miley and Ariana have been fangirling one another since March, igniting demand for a collaboration from the fans, while Lana and Ariana’s friendship also goes way back, with Summertime Sadness singer previously talking about how much she loves Ariana’s music.
Elizabeth will direct the film which stars Kristen, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the new-era Angels. Elizabeth will also play a gender-flipped Bosley in the movie, taking over the role previously played by David Doyle, Ramon Rodriguez and Bill Murray.
The film will honour the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels, Elizabeth says. Twilight star Kristen will star as ‘hard-partying, highly skilled wild card’ Sabina Wilson, while Ella will play ‘the ex-MI6 muscle of the group’ and Aladdin’s Naomi is Elena Houghlin, the MIT-trained scientist who serves as ‘the heart of the movie’. Charlie’s Angels arrives in cinemas 15 November 2019.
Miley n Ariana berjiran , mmg rapat pun. Dh lama ai tunggu deyols colab. Tak sangka Lana pun join Neway part Lana plg best. Miley cilok style madonna haha.
The Pop Hub, a pop-culture site, shared a screenshot of the sweatshirt on Monday, and compared it to Ariana Grande's hit song of the same name, which also features Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey.
It's unclear if Ariana Grande, who wrote the song alongside six other writers, has trademarked the phrase.
Grande previously filed a $10 million lawsuit against Forever 21 over advertisements her lawyers argue reference her, though it was recently paused as a result of the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
