Both legitimate and unlicensed users of Microsoft's XP operating system software will be able to download  the Service Pack 2 security patch for free.

Microsoft increasing concern over information security has translated into it's decision to bite the bullet and make it's upcoming SP2 (Service Pack 2) security patch available to all users - including those using pirated copies of its Windows XP software.

"We haven't explicitly done anything to SP2 to exclude it from pirates copies," said Microsoft's group product manager Barry Goffe.

This is unlike SP1 (Service Pack 1) which had features to prevent users with pirated copies from downloading it. In SP2's case, the mammoth 80-megabyte (MB) to 250MB patch can be downloaded and installed on computers running both legitimate and pirated copies

Users can also request a free CD copy od SP2, although shipping charges could apply, something which the company has yet to finalise

Betulke apa yang aku baca ni? Windows seolah - olah mengiktiraf dan mengaku akan kewujudan OS mereka yang tak berlesen. Wah.. boleh percaya ke kalau kita download patch tu? ada pandangan daripada expert - expert disini? Yang paling tak tahan siap nak bagi CD tu... tak rugi 90 sen ke bagi CD tu kat pengguna pirated OS yang langsung tak bayar sesen pun? Adakah relevan alasanyang mengatakan kalau security Pirated OS lemah.. ia akan menyebabkan virus mudah menyerang rangkaian internet dan secara tak langsung akan memberi impak kepada OS tulen juga? Erk!! Soalan utama... boleh download ke?;):gila:

Jadi Nuckle, KayuApi dan FastnFurious pakai OS piratelah...  kalu camtu nak dowlnloadlah SP1 tu.. :bgrin:

a'ah install jer...no problem punya tang installation tu...tapi bila lepas install performance pc slow sket..that's not what we talking about..tapi yg akan kantoi masa installation bila yang full sp2 july nie..mesti banyak unlicense yg kandas..don't worry crack will do it..

sp2 nie ada gak lihat aktiviti yg pelik sedang dijalankan even though net application tak dijalankan..it's like cam ada sesuatu tgh dijalankan..

yang ni tak faham ni.. lesen? kira yang macam serial number tu ke? Macam pc kat ofis ni ade tulis 1 - 2 cpu Product key.. erk ! cam tu ke?

andai kata aku mik serial number ko tu.. (andai kata lah) aku punya OS ni boleh jadi legitimatelah?

bahaya ni, windows mungkin tengah buat hidden operation untuk korek maklumat & kandungan harddisk untuk distatistikan. Kemudian menghantar keluar maklumat untuk dianaylisis multiple illegal unlicense software & pornografie.

jika  selepas defrag pun banyak hdd hidden activiti tu, eloklah dipasang firewall, tapi masalahnya application yg digunakan mungkin dari komponen windows sendiri cam "svhost.exe."
