cholaholla After I had my acl surgery, few days later I was back home. At that time my knee was still in so much pain & swollen..n then 2 days later I found out that I was pregnant. Both alfi & I were shocked & happy. Dr told me to stop taking painkillers so I had to just bare the pain. But the pain was nothing compared to my severe morning sickness. I was throwing up so much..up to 15 times day, my head was constantly spinning, I couldn't stand any smell, lights, & could not drink water & hardly ate. Bout a week later, I was admitted as I couldn't hold anything down & found out from my urine ketones that I was suffering from Hyperemesis gravidarum which is a severe nausea & vomiting. It's thought to be about 1 out of 100 pregnant women gets it. Some women throws up to 30 times a day. So I was dehydrated, lost weight, had no energy & had fever. My throat bled a little as it was too dry. Only women who goes through HG would understand how it really feels. Felt better when I was in the hospital as I was on iv fluids & other medication was given. Back home I felt sick again so I was admitted couple of times. I had no choice but just to remind myself to be strong even though I felt it was unbearable. I couldn't go out for almost 2 months & it was the toughest thing that I had to go through but despite all that, I'm extremely grateful as baby is well & healthy & that's what matters the most.
Alhamdulillah I'm 13 weeks today..I still have some off days but I feel a lot better! I just thought of sharing my story..so know that u are not alone if you are going through the same thing. Insyaallah next week I'll have to start cycling in the gym slowly & continue my acl rehabilitation..need to have strong knees to carry the baby weight when I get heavier. Now I'm just looking forward till the day I get to see my cutie ❤ #aclsurgery #aclrecovery #hyperemesisgravidarum #HG #13weekspregnant
