I've just bought n watched "My Tutor Friend".... Alamak!!! Ensem nyer KSW tu... amatlah bergaya nyer, esp time dia lwn. Fuuhhh!!! Thanks for recommending. Mmg best!

Wahh...Takki, looks like I have to find "My Tutor Friend" as well. Most of you all dah tengok ye...ni yang kena cari ni, especially when it's recommended.

About 2009 Lost Memories tu...confused ke? Mesti about the time machine and how it altered the history of Korea-Japan....am I right?  Saya dah tengok....truthfully I'm having mixed feelings about the film. Could have been better but overall it was ok, nothing to shout about. Tengok filem tu pun sebab the 2 leads, JDG and Toru Nakamura. Their acting's ok but the storyline macam ada loopholes and it's kinda one-sided (well, it was after all a Korean film, kan?). Kalau ada sesiapa with different views about 2009LM, do share your thoughts with us....

Eh...Takki, tak da yang pelik dengan tengok vcd masa exam week ;).  To release tension....biasalah tu. When it was my time, ada break sikit je between papers....siap pergi town lagi, shopping! Semuanya pasal nak release tension jawab paper dan nak perabihkan duit sama . Ohhh, those were the days! Cuma, Takki.....jangan study vcd je...ne ^_^.


A short synopsis & part of a review taken from another board

"Lost Memories" stars Jang Dong Gun as Sakamoto, a Korean federal agent who exists in an alternate reality where the Japanese didn't lose World War II, but instead retained control of Korea. Sakamoto and his Japanese partner Saiko (Toru Nakamura) works for the JBI (Japanese Bureau of Investigations), and their job is to eliminate a terrorist organization made up of Korean nationalists fighting for Korea independence. The terrorists believe that the reality they know is in fact an altered one (altered by a secret Japanese conspiracy, no less), and they plan on going back in time to put things right. But first they have to get their hands on a Time Machine…

The film's main draw is actor Jang Dong Gun, who seems to be channeling Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun Fat in every scene. Jang is somber and brooding, his Sakamoto constantly wondering if he really fits in with the Japanese-dominated JBI. He is a Korean with a Japanese name, and everyone is not hesitant to remind him of this fact. Even his partner and best friend Saiko is very much aware that he is partnered with a "lesser" cop. Add to that Sakamoto's history with the police force and the death of his father, a cop accused of corruption, and its not surprising that Sakamoto is the only realized character in the whole film.

As an action movie, "Lost Memories" works, but as a sci-fi film, its Time Travel angle is ineptly written and executed. For example: there is a device that can send people through time and alter history, but the people who have it are hauling it around in metal crates without an army to protect it? Gee, people just don't treat time travel machines the way they use to!

The break-up: English version.

Yeon-soo's still waiting for Min-chul to call her.  Min-chul finally called and asks her to meet him at the coffee shop.

Min-chul:  Sit down.  I know what you want from me is a reason but I have none to give.  And the engagement..

Yeon-soo hurries to cut him off:  its okay.  We don't need an engagement.  My promise to you hasn't changed, that's what matters.

Min-chul:  I can't promise you anything, so you erase your promise to me.  That's what's best for you.

Yeon-soo:  What's going on?  Discuss it with me if you have a problem.  You can tell me; you should.

Min-chul:  No. I don't want to discuss it with you.  You can't do anything for me.  The only thing you can do is to leave me alone.  I couldn't bear your being beside me.  I want to tell you that.

After saying this, Min-chul gets up to leave:  Don't call me from now on.

Yeon-soo pulls at his hand:  I won't ask you anything. And I won't burden you.  So please just let me stay by your side.

Min-chul stares at Yeon-soo's hand because he sees the ring on her finger.  Finally he pushes her hands away; with tears in his eyes he leaves the coffee shop.  

  

Yeon-soo cries and chases after him.  When he is by himself at the car, Min-chul shows how much he’s hurting by breaking up with Yeon-soo.

Yeon-soo catches up with Min-chul.

Yeon-soo:  You can't leave me like this.  That's wrong.  You've already wronged me by making me waited and worried.  You can't do this without giving me a chance to forgive you.

Min-chul:  I don't want you to forgive me.

Yeon-soo:  You have to.  Not for you, but for me.  You know how hard it is to hate some one you have to love.  You should know, since you hate your father, what you're doing is worse than your father.  At least you had a reason to hate him.  I have to hate you without knowing the reason.

Min-chul:  There is a reason.  I abandoned you.  What other reason do you need?

Yeon-soo:  You didn't abandon me.

Min-chul:  I did.

Yeon-soo:  Don't say that.  You and I can't give up so easily.  You and I have endured lots to get to this point.  Did you forget that?

Min-chul:  I want to release you because it's only going to get tougher.  Why don't you get that?

Yeon-soo:  I can endure it.  As long as you're with me, I can take anything.

Min-chul:  I can't!  You're too weak and na飗e.  For a man, he has to protect and take care of you.  To watch out for you so those eyes don't shed tears and that heart won't have scars.  I thought that's what I wanted in my life, but now it's more than I can handle.  There's no room to take care of you too.  I can't stand the burden.  It's too hard for me, I'm abandoning you.  You're bad.  You shouldn't have made me say this.

Yeon-soo:  Still, I can't let you go.  Even if it's hard for you, I can't let you leave me.  You love me.  If you love me, bear that much.  

Min-chul:  Stops this talk of love.  Love may be all to you, but it's not that to me.

Yeon-soo:  This ring....You gave me this.  Not a year ago, or months, but just a few days ago.  Remember what you said to me then?  You asked if I'd have you till the end.  You've got my answer that I'd share your fate.  How can you do this to me now?  This isn't the end.

Min-chul:  To me, it is.

Yeon-soo:  Then, take this ring back.  You gave it, so take it back.  Why can't you?  You said it's the end, so take it.

Min-chul:  You put it on; you take it off. (Boy, that hurts. This man has a mean streak on him. When he wants to be mean, he can be really mean)


  

At Victory Records, Min-chul stares at the first trophy and thinks of what his father had done, he throws the trophy against the wall. Yeon-soo calls and leaves a message on his cell phone: No matter what you say, I'm not giving you up.  Because I know you'll feel more hurt after hurting me.  I can't give up.  You know I'm the only one who knows how you really feel.  I'll wait.  I'll wait until you're ready.  Just remember that I'm here waiting for you.

Separately, both parties are suffering.

Wow!...Best nyer Thread BEAUTIFUL DAYS NI...sampai ada synopsis of the episod in English dan versi. B. melayu lagi....Thumbs Up to to goggle and kart!!!.  I can see the both of you are really "BD" lovers.  I also minat sangat2 ngan drama BD ni....dah tengok dalam 4 or 5 X dah...tapi tak pernah bosan...masih ingin nak tengok lagi.  I dah beli CD drama BD ni lama dah....malangnya,  I only have the Mandrin version...benci lah...dah lah tak boleh dengar original voice of CJW & LBH...CD tu pun burok sangat dia punya quality.  Dah lah color dia merah....masa night scenes...mostly dark...tak clear sangat.   Sampai sekarang I am still looking the Korean Version with english or malay subs.....tapi tak pernah jumpa...If anyone of you knows where to get the BD korean Version with Eng. or Mal. Subs in KL.....please infom lah the correct address kat sini.  I even tried to order the DVD for this drama on line, but they only have DVD in Korean Version with chinese or mandrin subtitles....dah request pun kat DVDAsia. com...tapi sampai sekarang, belum ada lagi DVD for this Drama with English subtitles.....

Actually my reason mula2 nak tengok drama  BD ni, sebab I am a crazy fan of Choi Ji Woo sebab terminat kat dia bila tengok di dalam drama Winter Sonata...tapi bila dah tengok BD......terus tertarik ngan watak hero BD ni, Lee Byung Hun....dan dari situ lah, besides collecting  CJW's dramas yang ada  English or Malay subtitles, I also start collecting LBH drama yang ada subtitles tu semua.....   

After that it was history!  After watching Beautiful Days and other dramas of LBH, I am now officially a real die hard fan of Lee Byung Hun!!! Although he is not the most good looking korean actor, he has lots of charisma and has a very sexy look that makes him looks so macho and gorgeous, and more over...he is a real good actor!

Actually I really admire Choi Ji Woo and Bea yong Jun together in WINTER SONATA.  For me, they make a beautiful couple as they look so perfect together and they also seems to be comfortable with each other on and off screen. BYJ's handsome and soft image really match CJW's pure,angelic and fragile looks. But when I watched BEAUTIFUL DAYS, I must admit that the chemistry between Lee Byung Hun and Choi Ji Woo are really great and together, they also make a good and romantic on-screen couple.....there are so many "heart stopping" scenes in BD very well-played by them which make the scenes so romantic and memmorable!!!

kalau nak beli BD yang Korean and Mandarin Version with Malay Subtitles boleh beli kat Kotaraya, dekat je dengan petaling street. Harga pun boleh tahan murah around RM50 dan kat situ ada juga jual VCD korean drama, korean movie, japanese drama, japanesemovie and chinese drama and movie. Banyak pilihan...;)

About boxset Beautiful Days, there is a Korean version of the drama di pasaran (with Malay subs). Tapi saya beli pun about 5 - 6 months ago. Could be out of stock at the moment. Yes, you said it all.....he's really a good & versatile actor with great charisma and excellent screen presence. He may not be exceptionally good-looking like the other actors but he's definitely making every character he ever played comes to life. Always love his acting and his voice.....memang sangkut dibuatnya, oops .

LBH-CJW really have a good on-screen chemistry in Beautiful Days, can't deny that. Suka tengok scene mereka masa belum berkahwin, nak bertunang dan sebagai suami-isteri dalam BD. The best I've seen so far....They really complement each other well in BD. I have nothing against BYJ & CJW, they too make a good couple but because I've watched Beautiful Days on TV2 before Winter Sonata on TV3, it does affect my judgement and I admit I'm biased when it comes to best on-screen chemistry. Even the chemistry in All In could not match the 'intense chemistry' in BD despite the fact that LBH & SGH are now real-life couple. Sorry, no offence to SHG's fan.
