hey i'm newbie here since gangstarz punyer thread ade dekat sini, for infinatez, there were mike problem, itu tv 3 punyer kejer.. salah kasi mike or setup mike tak betul, this happened also maser first consert infinatez..

n for me, mr. vernon, and other judges, korunk tak perasan ke delima maen tachap lirik je time boonie starts to sing?? it was obvious.... and yet the judges bagi 5 stars jugak.. for me Mendua deserve that 5 stars, not THE LIMA....

and try to ask GANGSTARZ production to be more efficient in running the program, banyak yang kelam kabut.. the grand prive is damn extremely a lot and the contestant are also from other countries... time contestant tgh buat persembahan, jangan la bagi makeup artis touch up judges..people in the auditorium there nampak ok.. obvious sangat...

for me production team gangstarz teruk.. website gangstarz pon lambat update... kater persainagan dari 3 buah negara.. after 2nd elimination.. a week after baru nak update results...

i was wondering, , Nquint ade sikit sumbang kater pengkrtik tetap kite, tapi at the beginning je, sikit je.. but 3 bintang n 4 bintang je? The Lima lupe satu line lyrics dan sangat la obvious..and they get 5 stars? inikah Yang dikatakan oleh Melodi about wujudnya favouritism dikalangan judges?? or TV3 yang suruh? dunno...

Hello everyone.

I gave The Lima five stars because of their feel (penghayatan). For me, at this stage in the competition, I am not looking for pitching issues or lyrics issues or technical aspects so much as I am looking for EXCELLENT EXPRESSION AND DELIVERY. Technical aspects of singing in a group and pitch and lyrics can all be worked at in the studio but FEEL is something that is magical. It is about the MOMENT. And capturing that MOMENT.

No point singing technically perfect tapi kureng feel. For me, I can forgive wrong notes as long as the FEEL of those notes were GOOD.

In terms of PENGHAYATAN, they deserved 5 stars.

Sejak bila I cakap Indon masa bagi kritikan? I mostly speak English, sometimes in Malay. The only Indon word I use is 'kalian' referring to them because it's polite. Is that wrong to try to make them feel welcome in our country or must we make them feel like foreigners who owe us a favour by insisting we speak only in our language and if they don't understand what we're trying to criticise, too bad?

Please, this is a REALITY show, not a NATIONAL LANGUAGE campaign show.

hello mr manager....ok...i would to ask u la...sejak bila 5 stars itu patut diberikan hanya utk grup yg paling "feel"?...

in my opinion....if the group perform well without any "kecacatan"...the pitching is good, vocal is good, choreography, interaction with the audience, harmonizing, no lyrics mistake....if everything is fine, there goes the 5 STARS....

kesilapan lirik adalah sesuatu yg sgt besar bagi saya, ini kerana, ia menunjukkan betapa kita menghargai lagu dan juga penyanyi asal tersebut....selain itu, harmoni the lima agak messy pada hari itu....berbeza dgn mendua....come on....kita boleh lihat standard yg sgt jauh antara mendua dan the lima pada malam itu....

mendua....correct...they really deserve the 5 STARZ....but the lima just deserve 4....camne nak bagi complete 5 starz kalo grup tu ade buat kesilapan?...malah kesilapan itu sgt obvious?....

Note the words "at this stage". Maksudnya, di permulaan memang saya pentingkan technical aspects, tapi kita dah sampai pusingan ke-empat and now I am more concerned about the EXPRESSION because the groups that had technical problems are already out and gone and now the groups left in the competition are those whose technical problems are less. So I look for FEEL to differentiate the good ones from the excellent ones. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

Favouritism? Not me. I may have my personal preferences and personal tastes but when it comes to marking and giving comments, I stress PROFESSIONALISM and TOTAL FAIRNESS. This is a competition and my credibility is important to me.

Have you ever wondered why I NEVER write about any groups in my blog? I only put all the pics of those who made it to the next round and the only time I ever mentioned a group was when The Lima won the first round. It was not even a review, just an announcement.

Some people say I am biased because I write about and review AF but I remain silent about GANG STARZ's contestants and don't review them. Think.

I say: Until and unless you have performed in front of a hall full of people and a television audience of 3 million, please do not make judgments. Many factors come into play during a LIVE performance, and even professional groups forget their own lyrics. Between the minor mistake of forgetting lyrics and absolutely convincing feel, I go for convincing feel. No point having perfect diction and lyrics but boring the pants off me. I'm the judge and based upon my professional assessment, criteria and overview of the performance, I award accordingly.

ok....macam ini ya, ini bermakna, bagi anda, jika ada seseorang performer itu, tersilap lirik dan kesilapan lirik itu sangat obvious sekalipun, anda sanggup memberikan lima bintang, hanya kerana dia "feel" the songs?....Kalau salah lirik, macam mana nak feel the songs ye?...saya rasa, antara sebab the lima salah lirik, mungkin sebab mereka datang dari indonesia...jadi ada kemungkinan sesetengah bahasa pada baris-baris lirik itu tidak difahami dengan sepenuhnya oleh mereka....

Jadi kalau mereka tidak mendapat kefahaman yang total pada lagu dan lirik tersebut, bagaimana anda melihat mereka mempunyai "feel" yang tinggi terhadap lagu tersebut?

ok....maybe kita ada sedikit perbezaan pendapat....tapi, bagi saya, feel sahaja tidak mencukupi untuk melayakkan sesebuah grup itu mendapat 5 bintang....bagi saya, 5 bintang itu sesuatu yang sangat besar....bagi gangstarz ini, bagi saya, ia melambangkan betapa persembahan sesebuah kumpulan itu memberi IMPAK kepada penonton di rumah, auditorium dan sebagainya....

seperti hujah yang pernah saya lontarkan...kita dapat melihat betapa kumpulan Mendua memberikan IMPAK yang cukup besar pada malam itu....kalau persembahan yang sebegitu....memang sangat layak untuk diberikan 5 bintang....namun....prestasi persembahan the lima pada jika dilihat secara keseluruhannya, sangat menurun...

lagi satu, jika sesebuah kumpulan ingin mempersembahkan lagu seseorg artis lain yang hebat....saya ingat lagi hujah salah seorang juri mengatakan bahawa..."U should sing it equal or better than the original singer".....ini juga satu perkara yang harus diambil kira.....

actually, i was really upset last sunday when u give the lima 5 stars....hope that, you can also look on the other side of the performances....besides "feel"....the other factors are also important....giving 5 stars is not cheap....
