Kecederaan Chong Wei tidak serius - ISN
KUALA LUMPUR 24 Mei - Pemain nombor satu dunia, Datuk Lee Chong Wei dijangka sembuh sepenuhnya dalam masa empat minggu lagi selepas mengalami kecederaan buku lali kanan pada pusingan akhir Kejohanan Piala Thomas di Wuhan, China, Selasa lalu.
Ditemani abangnya Lee Chong Eng, Chong Wei yang berkerusi roda kelihatan tenang selepas menjalani imbasan "Magnetic Resonance Imaging" (MRI) dan X-ray pagi tadi di Pusat Perubatan Sukan Kuala Lumpur (KLSMC).
Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) Datuk Dr Ramlan Abdul Aziz berkata pemeriksaan yang dilakukannya bersama dua pakar ortopedik iaitu Dr Saw Khay Yong dan Dr Nicholas Geary, mendapati kecederaan Chong Wei tidak akan mengambil masa lama untuk sembuh.
"Selepas melakukan imbasan MRI, kita dapat gambaran jelas mengenai tahap kecederaan Chong Wei dan beliau didapati tidak mengalami kecederaan serius.
"Saya berharap Chong Wei mampu mengatasinya dan boleh kembali ke kancah perlawanan secepat mungkin," katanya kepada pemberita di sini.
Dr Ramlan berkata dengan kaedah rawatan di KLSMC, Chong Wei akan mendapat rawatan pemulihan lebih baik dan cepat.
"Ini berita baik bagi Chong Wei dan mengikut pakar ortopedik, beliau boleh sembuh sepenuhnya dalam masa empat minggu atau lebih cepat daripada itu," katanya. - BERNAMA |

Stage fright dia ni tak berubah dari dlu kan. Even aku stop kejap ikut badminton, sambung balik skang ni pun still same. Not just directly to tbh, but our team as a whole. Does it show there is no progress?

- kalau la korea panggil jung jae sung datang tuk main 1st double .. korea ada harapan dapat 1 mata ....
pastu 2nd double korea pun ada harapan gak ....
tapi kalau korea pakai line-up arini ...kalah 0-3 rasanye |

akhirnye .... china berjaya merampas balik uber team drp korea .....
wang yihan hampir2 kalah lagi .... camne dia boleh menang 2nd set tu lepas ketinggalan 16-20 ....
kesian tengok sung jihyun muka masam je masa prize presentation ....

BWF come under fire again from Christensen and Joo-bong
THIS will be Peter-Gade Christensen’s last Thomas Cup Finals. And the great Dane has one wish: that the Badminton World Federation (BWF) be more professional in deciding on the format and scheduling of Thomas Cup Finals matches.
Yesterday, he took the BWF to task for conducting the quarter-final draw of the Thomas-Uber Cup Finals at midnight.
The final group ties ended at 11pm on Tuesday and the BWF then conducted a lengthy draw ceremony that went past midnight.
That saw teams scheduled to play in the afternoon session the following day having only half a day to analyse their opponents and prepare for battle.
“I do not like the idea of conducting the draw at midnight. It is not a professional way to do things. I would rather they give the players a day off after the draw. The organisers should look into this matter,” said Christensen, who will quit the game after the London Olympic Games.
There were other complaints too.
Japan chief coach Park Joo-bong was fuming after learning of his team’s Uber Cup semi-final schedule.
Japan and South Korea’s respective quarter-final ties ran until late into the evening but, to their dismay, they found that they were scheduled to take on each other in the first afternoon tie the following day.
Hosts China, who had played their quarter-final tie in the afternoon, had a longer rest as their semi-final tie was only scheduled for the evening the next day.
It looks like the BWF have some serious tinkering to do to keep interest in the game alive.
