Valencia Supporters Vent Their Frustration At Emery During Training Session
The defeat to Atletico Madrid has left many Valencia fans unhappy...
Valencia fans showed their frustration at their team's performance against Atletico Madrid last night by taunting the coach at training this afternoon.
Los Che were only defeated by a Diego Forlan penalty at the Vicente Calderon but as the coach admitted, did not deserve anything from the match.
Away from home they struggled to create chances and their supporters turned up at training to let their feelings be known.
A small group of fans shouted to Unai Emery that "next year you will be in the UEFA Cup, you will play in the UEFA Cup. That is what you have to do, play in the UEFA Cup, you are a UEFA Cup team".
They went on to advise the coach about how he should play against Villarreal in their next match, telling him that they will lose.
"Emery, play six defenders against Villarreal because they are going to take you apart. Don't even try to win, lose so that we can go," shouted the fans.
In response to the criticism, a visibly angry Emery walked from the pitch and found security guards, who asked the fans to stop shouting, which they duly did.
To add to the woes of the coach, Valencia returned from their game against Atletico Madrid with plenty of injury worries.
Both Vicente and Emiliano Moretti trained under the supervision of the physios and David Villa and Alexis worked inside rather than on the pitch.
