NEWCASTLE UNITED are still very much on the trail of Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha.However, they may have to wait until the Eagles’ Carling Cup exploits are over until they land their man – meaning a summer move could be on the cards. Talk that Newcastle are back in for Paris St Germain’s Turkey international Mevlut Erding is accurate after a flying visit to Paris by Toon officials But the January move for the 24-year-old is just one of several deals Newcastle are looking into. United ran the rule over Zaha again last night with the winger-cum-striker in action against Cardiff City in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final. And with Palace – 1-0 winners on the night – still in with a fantastic chance of reaching the February 26 showpiece at Wembley, it means the Tynesiders may have to sit tight until the summer window to land the 19-year-old attacker.
