Kim Bum gets sued for breach of contract
Kim Bum and Lee Chung Ah, among others have been served with a lawsuit by their former management agency on the 8th for breaching their contracts.
I Entertainment had filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central Courton the 8th, requesting for compensation in damages from Kim Bum, LeeChung Ah, Yoo Yeon Suk and Kim Bum's manager, totaling to 1.145 billion won.
According to a representative from I Entertainment, Kim Bum and LeeChung Ah had signed a 6 and 3 year contract with them respectively lastyear. But from March 2009, Kim Bum and the others broke off contactwith them and started working with other companies on dramas and CFs.
They expressed that because of this breach of contract by them, thecompany has suffered grave financial losses and are thus seeking forcompensation.
And for breaching the contract, they are asking 500 million won fromKim Bum, 160 million won from Lee Chung Ah, 36 million won from YooYeon Suk and 440 million won from Kim Bum's manager.
The Seoul Central Court has already accepted the lawsuit filed by I Entertainment and will be processing the case shortly.
This shock news comes just days before Kim Bum's new movie, Flight begins airing in cinemas on 10th December.

Kim Bum cast as Park Jin-hee’s younger boyfriend
 
Interesting! Kim Bum has been confirmed for MBC’s upcoming The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry, which stars Eom Ji-won and is a sequel to 2004’s The Woman Who Wants To Marry. He’s currently busy with initial character work, as he’ll be playing the younger boyfriend to Park Jin-hee (War of Money) — their characters have a 12-year age gap.
The main story centers around three thirtysomething women (Wang Bit-narounds out the trio along with Eom Ji-won are Park Jin-hee) who aregetting fresh new starts in different ways. Wang, for instance, breaksthings off with her fiancé, while Park Jin-hee starts a romance with amuch younger man (Kim Bum). I wonder if he’ll be a contender for aserious relationship or more of a boy toy. Either way, it’s a great wayto stir younger viewer interest while also satisfying the drama’starget base, since Kim Bum has serious noona appeal.
Before that show broadcasts in 2010, though, he’ll also be making a cameo appearance in family sitcom High Kick Through the Roof, which is the spin-off series of the show that made him a star, Unstoppable High Kick. He will be the next actor from the old cast to reappear in the new show, after Kim Hye-sung showed up in Episode 1 and Jung Il-woo in Episode 35. He’ll be featured in Episode 72 as the university student nephew to Kim Ja-ok; he stays at her house and makes an impression on Hwang Jung-eum’s character.
Kim Bum finished filming his part on the evening of December 11. Hisgood buddy Jung Il-woo came to cheer him on, although they didn’tappear together (and when Jung filmed his own cameo,Kim Bum was there). Kim said, “I’m extremely happy to be filming withdirector Kim Byung-wook again. Most of the staff members are the samefrom Unstoppable High Kick so it felt comfortable and fun, like coming home.”

Idid a short summary of the part regarding So Eun in one of thecomments, but not everyone read it and people were asking, so I decidedto translate parts of the article. Most were talked about in otherinterviews already, so you can refer to those if you’re curious.
Q: Even if you’re busy, you can still date (Laughs)
A: When I say I can’t date because I’m working, it makes people thinklike I’m using it as an excuse. However, if you look at my schedule,you would understand (laughs). Of course I think it would be nice tohave a girlfriend, but why don’t I have one? When I go to the filminglocations this thought vanishes instantly. Through the roles that Iportray, I was able to experience the love in dramas. When I’m acting Iwill stay in that character no matter what, and become that personcompletely. I don’t think about other things, and I don’t even carry mycell phone. In my regular life I would also forget that I’m Kim Bum.Living a few months like this is not a good habit, but there is nothingelse I can do.

A: I’m college classmates with Kim So Eun. She’s a cute friend. Evenfrom before “Boys Over Flowers” we were close so we were able to acttogether comfortably. Therefore people misunderstand, and because ofthis, we would become awkward around one another sometimes.
Q: How did your supportive friends react after you debuted?
