ok Body_language..actually aku pernah nampak nick IrvingLorenzo kat satu music forum..dia pun banyak bertanya tentang note yang boleh dicapai oleh sesorang artis..dan dia banyak bertanya tentang teknik kat forum tersebut..so, no wonder lah kalau dia amik fakta2 dari forumer kat situ..banyak yang bercanggah aku tgk...tapi ada yang betul..nantilah aku taip lagi..aku nak gi kerja dah..petang ni pulak ada exam..wish me luck..

well, previously kte agree yg chest tone patti sampai B5. tp Flying ckp C6? pastu siti sarah ko ckp dlm E3. tp Flying ckp A2? mcm x cayo aku. Pastu dier ckp regine blh buat chest voice sampai C6? betul ke? pastu dlm chest voice jugak celine buat A5? ye ke. jawap. lagi satu Deja Moss katenya mampu buat A5???

ko x caya sapa? aku ke dia?:hmm::hmm: hehe gurau je....anyway aku mmg x penah ckp aku nie expert. tanyala sayangidaku atau idolfan. aku rasa awal2 lagi aku ckp kt forum cari nie aku x expert tapi tanya and buat kajian and dgr clip2 lagu utk mendptkan kepastian (like asking soulfly yg terer guna guitar dia utk pastikan C7 idayu in KYT). pastu aku ada tanya expert yg terer 88 keys piano. tapi by correspondence la through internet. and aku tak tanya satu je forum tapi at least 4 places - muse's muse, vocalist.org.uk, jesse's messageboard, national centre for voice and speech and leanne hoad's website.

ok let's move on to ko punya soalan. first of all a B5 is the limit for a human voice to use pure chest voice sepenuhnya. cam aku ckp sblm nie....it's impossible to go a note higher to C6 using chest voice. kecuali kalo patti guna mix voice - campuran head voice dgn chest voice utk capai a C6. itu possible. aretha franklin pun capai C6 guna mix voice utk dptkan efek bunyi mcm chest voice but it isn't chest voice. anyway cuba ko fikirkan logik ke capai C6 guna chest voice sepenuhnya bcoz it really hurts. a B5 is already pushing the limits of the elasticity of the true vocal folds while maintaining the resonance inside the sternum area and pushing the diaphragm up. tu yg most female singers, highest note diorg utk chest voice ialah dlm kwsn F5-G5 tambah tolak one note. cth cam jessica simpson - G5, christina aguilera - G5, mariah carey - G#5, celine dion - G#5, etc. there are a few contemporary singers yg bleh capai an A5 dan B5 in pure chest voice sepenuhnya cam - Melba Moore - A5, MISIA - B5, Betty Wright - A5, Patti LaBelle - B5, Aretha Franklin - B5 dan Vanessa Amorosi - B5. rata2nya org hitam.

dan utk capai a C6 - a person would have to shift to head voice or falsetto. that's all. yg regine tu pun aku x percaya bleh capai a C6 in PURE chest voice sepenuhnya. it's impossible from what i've read and it's damaging on the vocal folds if iyapun bleh buat. maybe regine bleh capai a C6 in mix voice(head voice+chest voice).

yg sarah capai A2 tu aku pun x percaya and i don't think so. even a standard alto's lowest note is a C3 and not many females can actually hit a C3 apatah lagi an A2. aku rasa bleh dibilang dgn jari brape ramai female singers bleh capai a note in the 2nd octave cam mariah carey (barely sustaining her notes), ella blame, rachelle ferrell, linda eder, erna sack, inva tchako dgn mado robin (semua either an A2 or B2, xde yg rendah lagi becoz its almost impossible to go down further). kalo ko tgk senarai ni pun, rata2nya penyanyi OPERA. a standard female singer's lowest note would be around an E3-F3 tambah tolak a note cam kelly clarkson - F3, celine dion - F3, jessica simpson - D3, etc.
plus, a female's vocal chords are not ELASTIC as a male's vocal chord. vocal chords wanita adalah PENDEK berbanding lelaki. tu yg lelaki bleh pergi bawah sampai ke 1st octave (rarely) dan pergi ke octave yg atas2 cam 6th, 7th, 8th with extensive training (mcm adam lopez yg bleh pergi ke 7th dan 8th octave sbb blaja vocal selama 5 tahun which is a very long time). going into the 2nd octave (the upper extremes that is mcm A2,B2) is already stretching the limits of the female vocal chords that is already short to begin with. you would need extensive training to reach even a C3 for a female. mariah is an exception sbb dia dah receive vocal training dari mak dia sejak berumur 3 tahun lagi besides inheriting her mother's genes.

aku rasa kalau lowest note sarah is an E3 pun dah cukup bangga bcoz NOT many female singers can reach that low (especially in malaysia). kwsn 2nd octave tu dah kwsn bass (kwsn nyanyian utamanya) dgn baritone punya low notes. heldentenors (tenor paling tinggi utk guys) pun tak tentu lagi bleh nyanyi semua notes dlm 2nd octave. a woman singing in the 2nd octave would sound like a MAN (cth mcm mariah nyanyi You and I[tapi dia capai A2,B2 skejapje, most are C3s in that performance) because of the expansion of the vocal chords and a man singing in the 7th, 8th octave would sound like a woman (mcm adam lopez) because of the zipper effect/closing of the vocal chords. even guys yg nak capai a 2nd octave would have to sing the 2nd octave with CLARITY, AGILITY and SUSTAINABILITY utk dikira sbg sbhgn daripada vocal range diorg dan TIDAk menggunakan teknik vocal fry atau strohbass utk capai 2nd octave. the best example of a person who can use the 2nd octave in a song (dan sedap didgr, bukan sekadar keluarkan bunyi camtu je) is Viktor Wichniakov from Russia, one of the most famous Basso Profundos. dia nyanyi bukan sekadar buat cam sarah atau mariah, setakat skejap skejap je keluarkan low notes TAPI nyanyi a whole Aria in the 2nd octave with CLARITY dan boleh didgr dgn jelas. aku rasa lagu dia ada kat dutchdivas.net.

yg psl celine dion aku tak tau kalo dia bleh capai A5 in chest voice sbb aku tak penah dgr. bleh bgtau what song/performance,etc? aku tau setakat nie her limit is a G#5 in sorry for love. yg A5 guna falsetto aku taula dlm lagu Celine - Fly.

deja moss lagila aku tak tau sbb aku tak pernah dgr lagu2/performance dia.bgla lagu dia.
