Sejak bila pulak boleh claim VAT on services ni? Setahu saya under normal circumstances "prescribed services consumed in UK" tak boleh claim VAT. Prescribed services termasuk Hotel, sewa kereta etc. Kalau boleh baguslah....Saya nak pergi this Dec. Last skali pi 2002 and zaman dulu2 ada spent one year with Shell in London 1996 waktu tu rules VAT ni clear cut. |

To clarify the VAT issues:-
Goods you can claim refunds for
You can get VAT refunds for anything on which you pay VAT in the UK apart from the following:
- new or used cars
- a boat you plan to sail outside the EU
- goods worth more than £600 exported for business purposes
- goods to be exported as freight
- goods that need an export licence - except antiques
- unmounted gemstones
- bullion over 125g, 2.75 troy ounces or ten Tolas – for example, a precious metal like gold
- mail order goods, including Internet sales
- goods used or partly used in the EU – for example, perfume
- service charges, such as hotel expenses
Sori sis....my work background ada terkait sikit dgn GST etc so terkejut bila terbaca komen2 pasal VAT.

mmg ada situ VAT charges adik rimau... but we cannot claim. meaning we have to bear the cost of tax la just like the locals.

brang mothercare apa tu? benda tu takde kat malaysia eh? ye ye tanya mcm dah confirm i nak pegi LOL.
of course le gamat coz some people want to know more about VAT return.. tp to me tak penting tahu apa leh claim apa tak bleh claim..yg LAGI penting TAHU CEMANA nak buat claim tu... kalau yg tak boleh, depa slash out je la... 
sebab ramai yg tak claimm pon VAT ni bila sampai airport, lajuu je carik pintu gate....rugii oooo...duit tuuu |

delifrance...mothercare tu a uk based retailer for maternity n baby items...it has a few outlets in kl e.g mv & klcc. brand ni mmg famous amongst preggy ladies..dorg ade a few clearance sales throughout the year n klo x silap skrg tgh autumn winter collection sale..ms cousin i pergi in nov - dec 2009 lagi kaw kaw sale kat mothercare for year end sale..i setuju gn mrsakit's thoughts..high inflation will hit purchasing power & public terasa kos hidup yg sgt tinggi..compared to UK's low inflation rate..aduss cakap bab economics plak..
kat mothercare uk brg2 mmg agak murah banding dgn kat kl n choices pun byk beb..klo bleh i nk kirim beli baby stroller pd kwn2 yg akan ke sana dlm masa terdekat ni...rushrush ur turn is just around the corner right? huhuhu |

heh of course i know what mothercare is. my kids' travel system and cots are from mothercare.
maksud soalan i..what are the things that you wanted to get people to buy for you? i was expecting something like some special creams or what-not which might not be available here.
oo u nak pesan stroller eh? heh...good luck in getting someone to buy for you. dulu (last nov) i went to london my brother yg nak dpt baby nak pesan kat I pon i kata 'can.. of course cann.. but i'll POST..and u bear the cost lah' pegi time winter nak bawa barang sendri pon tak muat kaki dan tangan... he he..but who knows someone here might be a lot nicer than me yg rajin nak tolong beli kan..
if u are looking for a stroller or org UK suka panggil pushchair.. i bought a brand new chicco from gumtree.com for 30 pounds! horayy..best gila. but i was going there and i got the seller to post it to a UK address. Puas hati gila! Beli semata2 utk that 2 weeks trip sebab mmg nak cari yg lightweight.. malas nak buat balik yg bulky2. try le ushar gumtree.com tu. |
