Pot-puffing Pitt & paranoid Jolie on road to breakup amid loud & 'scary' fights

Hollywood's most glamorous couple is headed for Splitsville, according to a blockbuster book, "Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie" (Transit), out Tuesday. Author Ian Halperin, who spoke to 900 sources to build a "true picture" of the pair, talked exclusively to The Post about his most sensational findings.
It was 2004, just weeks before shooting was to begin on the action flick "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," when Angelina Jolie hap pened to visit the set of the hit show "Friends." "Brad is so excited to be working with you," Jennifer Aniston told her husband's new co-star. "I hope you guys have a really good time."
They certainly did. Less than a year later, Brad Pitt and Jolie would pose for W magazine in a spread called "Domestic Bliss." Real-life romance soon followed, as modern Hollywood's most famous love triangle played out in the tabloids. Eventually, Pitt would leave Aniston and take up with Jolie, jetting to red carpets and orphanages around the world.
It was the electrifying love-making that brought Brangelina together, says Halperin, who followed the couple for five years to prepare to write his book. "Brad had never had such incredible sex," Halperin says. "My sources say that they sometimes spent 18 to 20 hours a day in bed. But sex eventually wears off."
ESCALATING TENSIONS
Now, Halperin claims, the couple "argues like cat and dog -- everything from politics to clothes the kids wear and Brad's 'atrocious habit,' which includes pot smoking and alcohol."
"I talked to several people in Brad's family who wished they'd break up today. They're scared for Brad's safety and his well-being," he says.
A limo driver who drove Brangelina frequently witnessed them "going at it in the back seat" twice and saw a "U-turn" in their relationship in 2007. "I was more worried about his safety than hers," the driver says. "She really flew off the handle, threatening him and lashing out at him. I can't imagine how anyone would want to be with her every day, no matter how sexy she is. She has a temper like a cobra."
A woman who worked with Pitt while he was filming "Troy" told Halperin: "They were definitely in love, but that's where it gets tricky. If you want to know if they're still together, the answer depends on when you ask the question. "I've heard that they've broken up so many times it would make your head spin.
"There are apparently screaming matches, usually with her doing the screaming. Nobody really witnesses that part of it -- they just see him leaving in a huff. But then he ends up coming back again, and nobody knows what happened to bring him back."
CHEATING AND DRUGS
Pitt may have cheated on Jolie, according to Halperin's book.
The most persistent story that crops up time and again involves Pitt and a beautiful Sudanese model, Amma, whom he met at a benefit for Darfur at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. He was seen with her at least one more time. Jolie has allegedly accused Pitt of cheating on her on more than one occasion, which is one of the reported sources of tension between the two, Halperin writes.
Another tension is Pitt's pot use, the book states. According to a well-known Hollywood journalist, "[Pitt and Aniston] spent much of their married life stoned. But whereas he was chilled out, she could get pretty paranoid."
A woman who works for an industry publication says his drug use will give Jolie an easy way to explain their split, when it inevitably happens: "They'll be split within 18 months, probably sooner," she told Halperin.
"And here's how it's going to play out. They're going to split amicably, work out some kind of arrangement with the kids, and everything will be very civilized. Then you're going to see unidentified friends leak stories how Angelina couldn't put up with Brad's partying and drinking and his pot smoking. She's worried about the kids, and she's afraid it's not the right environment for them. Maybe he'll even take part of the blame and go along with that.
MANIPULATOR' JOLIE
Halperin claims that Pitt's biggest problem with Jolie is her controlling nature. "She won't let [Pitt] out of the house alone," he said. "She's very guarded about him. I don't think she's evil, but she's manipulative, deceiving and cunning."
She has even spread lies about love rival Aniston to make herself look better in the public eye, Halperin claims.
It happened when Jolie first met and fell for Pitt on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." At the time, he was still married to Aniston -- and Jolie feared she'd be branded a homewrecker, Halperin said. So Jolie leaked a story about Aniston, claiming that the "Friends" star didn't want children but wanted to focus on her career -- and this was the reason her marriage had ended, the book states.
By now, Jolie was an accomplished veteran at what one publicist called "misdirection" -- deflecting a crisis by changing the subject.
"It was Angelina who came up with the whole story about Jennifer not wanting to have kids," a source connected to 20th Century Fox, which produced "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," said. "She was convinced that is the story that would resonate with all these women who saw her as a man-stealing bitch."
Pitt was furious when he heard about the mean-spirited whisper campaign that his new girlfriend was spreading about his ex-wife. He ordered Jolie to stop the rumors.
BABY HUNGER
Aniston, in fact, was thought to be pregnant twice during her marriage -- both times ending in miscarriage, in 2003 and 2004, according to Halperin.
Pitt and Aniston even built a dream nursery at their Beverly Hills mansion.
She had already designated a large, light-filled space in the corner of the couple's Beverly Hills mansion as a nursery for their expected baby, Halperin writes. Aniston supervised its transformation from beginning to end during the extensive renovation process.
* "It wasn't just a room where you'd stick a crib and a mobile," a contractor said. "It was quite elaborate, and she had very specific ideas about it."
"They never decorated it as I saw, though," explained the contractor. "We're talking 2003. Maybe they were waiting to know whether the baby would be a boy or a girl."
THE NANNY DIARIES
Brangelina, of course, is now famous for their growing brood; they have six children, three adopted and three biological.
Although it is widely agreed the couple loves their children, they aren't entirely honest about the number of people they've hired to help raise them.
Jolie and Pitt employ a "multicultural" team of nannies to care for their young brood, Halperin writes. In fact, the children often spend more time with those nannies than they do with their parents, who spend weeks at a time shooting films and on goodwill trips, sometimes with a child or two in tow but never with all of them.
A hotel employee at the Dorchester Hotel in London once overheard 3-year-old Shiloh refer to one of her nannies as "Mommy," Halperin writes.
The employee also observed celebrity efforts to broadcast an image of a happy family.
"There's sometimes as much of a production involved in avoiding the wrong shot as there is in making a movie," she confided.
"Stars will never allow the nanny to be photographed with their kids. . . Sometimes you'll even have the nanny crouched down in the back seat of a car. It's quite comical."

thank you for the article. firstly it is hard to maintain a gud relationship when others expect the relationship to crash. secondly, it is not always easy to bring up a family, especially when you are always on the move due to working needs. even maids are hard to maintain...they always come and go...why is it any different for these two as well...
funny how angie's past lovers have nothing bad to say about her...only gud words..
anyhow...this article sounds normal enough...it proves that they are a true to themselves...with ups and downs..  |

Howard said this guy Ian Halperin wrote a book about Michael Jackson and he predicted that he was going to be dead soon. He was right about that. Ian came in and said that he's making another prediction about Brad and Angelina breaking up sometime in the next 18 months. Ian said he went undercover for this book and that's what he's an expert at.
Howard said that Ian was dressed in some clothes that make him look like he might not be straight. Ian said he is straight but the only guy he would kiss is Howard. Ian said he's never fantasized about a man. He said he went undercover as a gay man for some Church of Scientology research but he's not gay.
Ian said he did well with the last book and he thanked Howard for helping him out with that. Howard asked Ian about this new book, ''Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie,'' and said he knows how he went undercover. He went into a mental hospital, the same one that Angelina was in about 10 years ago. Ian said he spoke to some people there and did his research there.
Ian said that he had to do some extreme research and he had to say he was suicidal to get in there. He said that he also said that he was a threat to society to make sure he got in. He said he used the name Billy Bob Jackson while he was there.
Howard said Angelina Jolie was thought of as a kook and a nut while she was wearing a vial of blood and kissing her brother. Howard said she's now like a princess and people all love her. Howard asked who orchestrated this reversal. Ian said that he saw the kiss that Angelina had with her brother and the kiss was open mouth and he thinks they were tonguing. He said that what Angelina did after that was give some misdirection. She checked herself into this hospital and ended up with Billy Bob Thornton. She was told to never be seen in public with her brother again and he's vanished.
Howard said that she must have been able to follow direction because they haven't seen the guy since. They talked about how orchestrated her career seems to be these days and how she's making people think that she's a very giving person.
Ian said that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were going to have kids but then Brad worked with Angelina on ''Mr. and Mrs. Smith'' and they fell in love there. Ian said that Brad and Angelina were together before Jennifer and Brad broke up too. He said he found that out in his research.
Howard said that Brad and Angelina had a kid on their own and they've adopted a bunch of kids. Now brad is looking miserable. Howard said Ian claims that they don't even take care of the kids because they have a nanny. One of the kids actually calls the nanny ''Mommy.'' Ian said if that happened to him he'd be upset and step up and stop it.
Ian said that Angelina is trying to adopt a 7th child and Brad's name is not on the paperwork. He said that's the first sign that things aren't going well.
Howard read that Angelina's parents let a 16 year old boy live in the house with them when Angelina was just 14. She and the other kid used to cut themselves. Ian told Howard that she's manipulative and cunning. Howard read some more details about her being admitted into the mental hospital.
Robin asked if he spoke to John Voight. He said he has some stuff in the book about the relationship that John and his daughter have. Ian said that John was a very responsible dad and they make you believe that he wasn't. Ian said that Angelina has turned on her father because of some comments he made about her in the press. Howard said he should shut up in the press and keep that secret. Ian said he tried but Angelina didn't let him meet his grandson so he got upset and went out and spoke to the press.
Howard read about how Angelina hired a hit man to kill herself. Ian said that she hired the guy but reneged at the last minute.
Howard read about how Angelina talked about how good sex was with Billy Bob Thornton. Ian said that he's apparent very well hung but he's said that having sex with her was like having sex with a couch.
Howard read more about the kid who calls the Nanny ''mommy.'' He also talked about Quentin Tarantino saying that he saw Brad acting like a dad when he visited with them. Ian said that Quentin was also smoking has with Brad so maybe he was high when he saw that.
Ian said that Brad appears to be very run down from all of this and he may be a miserable guy. He's probably stressed out from it all too. Howard asked if he's smoking weed to get through it. Ian said that might be part of it. Howard asked if he thinks that Brad has been faithful through all of this. Ian said that he's been seen out with some people but there is no proof that he's had sex with anyone. Ian asked Howard if he'd be happy with Angelina Jolie. Howard said if she was good in bed he'd be fine. When the kids come into play, then he'd be out of there.
Ian asked Howard who he thinks is the number one hot chick in Hollywood. Howard said Megan Fox is hot. He said that Angelina isn't number one. He said that Kate Beckinsale is hot. He put her right up there at number 1.
Ian said that this book isn't sensational like a tabloid. He said it's fair and balanced but he thinks that he knows Angelina better than Brad does at this point. He said that Brad should be the first one in line to read this book. He said Brad obviously jumped into the relationship because of his cock.
Howard gave Ian some plugs for his book ''Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie'' and Ian said they have to make it number one to knock Sarah Palin out of that slot. He said he's also ready for them to come after him trying to get him to stop the book. He said he has an army of lawyers ready to fight them.
Howard took a call from a guy who told Ian to dance with Howard again like he did the last time he was on. Ian reminded Howard that he danced the last time when he was promoting his Michael Jackson book. Howard asked if he would dance to a Miley Cyrus song. Howard got up and did his usual dance moves for Ian. Ian said that was what he did the last time. Howard said Ian was creeping him out with his dance moves.
Howard tried to wrap up with Ian but Ian had more stories that he wanted to tell. Howard took some phone calls too. One guy said that it sounds like Ian doesn't have a single fact about this relationship and he's very ill spoken. He said that the guy is talking about how the relationship was ''toast'' and that's just not right. Ian said that if there is one thing wrong in that book he'll sleep naked in Times Square for a month. Howard gave him another plug for his book and Robin said that her cat's name is actually Brangelina.
Ian said that he knows Artie is clean right now. He asked him if he would be doing drugs if he had 6 kids. Artie said he would have to do them somewhere but not around the kids. He's pretty sure he'd have to do the drugs though.
They spent a couple more minutes talking about the book and some of the stuff they have in it. Ian said he has another book coming out next year but he can't say who it's going to be about. He said if he says who it is he won't be able to write the book. Howard tried to guess who it was but Ian wasn't talking. They spent a minute talking about Tiger Woods and what's going on with him. Ian asked if he thinks that Tiger is cheating. Howard said if he is, it's all about the sex.
Jeff the Drunk called in and said that Ian sounds like he woke up with a cock in his mouth. He said he sounds a lot gay to him. Howard asked Ian if Brad Pitt is well hung. Ian said he's medium from what he's found out. He said that he also heard from some people that Brad had problems getting it up for Jennifer Aniston. He heard that she just wasn't that into him. Once he got on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith he fell for Angelina and he was able to get it up.
Howard told Ian that Jennifer Aniston was on the show years ago as a Nutri-System girl. He said she came in to talk about losing weight. They spent a minute on that.
Howard took a call from a woman who asked if Ian's next book will be about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Ian said that book has already been written by a good friend of his. He said that's not what he's working on now.
Howard and Ian also talked about Oprah Winfrey and her friend Gayle King. That led to Howard talking about how Oprah doesn't ever talk about this job she has there at XM.
Howard asked Ian who he thinks acts like a saint but is actually an black hole. Ian said he thinks that Regis Philbin might be one. He said he doesn't think he's an black hole but the album he put out recently isn't good and he should have kept it to his living room and not put it out in public.
Howard asked Ian if he thinks that Obama and his wife are having good sex. Ian said he really doesn't know that because he's never been in the bedroom. He's never heard about what's going on there either. Howard wrapped up and went to break a short time later.
