Najib pegs Sarawak as example of 1Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has described Sarawak as a true reflection of the ‘unity through diversity’ culture that showed the 1Malaysia concept was accepted by the people.
The Prime Minister said that if what he saw during his recent visit to the state was a sign, then the concept was not only well-received by the people but a way of life.
“The people of Sarawak is an example of what I mean by ‘unity through diversity’ as they respect the culture and festival of each other’s ethnic group,” he said in his latest posting in his blog, www.1Malaysia.com.my.
“I look back at the solidarity that I could see during my two-day visit there.
“In fact, before I explained the values and elements of 1Malaysia, they had already long been adopted by the people of Sarawak, whether they live in towns which have already developed, in the traditional longhouses or villages which they inherited from their ancestors,” he said.
“At the same time, I think about the importance of ensuring that both the federal and state governments work together to continue efforts to develop all districts in Sarawak to achieve the objectives and aspirations, as had been discussed with the Sarawak Chief Minister,” he said.
Najib said the ‘1Malaysia’ concept would continue to be a dynamic process in national development. — Bernama |

Mcm ya juak pegawai petronas kat miri pun nganok mbiak swk interview smua jak sik tauk BI pun teruk nama jak 7A nya crita dgn kmk mlm kmk org dinner mcm2 di anok nya coz nya ingat kmk org semenanjung. Kesian kn org swk or sabah nang 2nd base di m'sia tok nama jak 1malaysia tetapi tetap racism. Org swk mun keja dgn sidak semenanjung sik kn keseney tetap jadi kuli batak sidak ya walaupun kita ada capabilities education yg hebat tetap sik di pandang sidak nya. |

Sorry, Bai. Baruk kinek tok kamek ada free time berinternet. baruk habis maca blog najib dan sik tahan maca commentary nya. To me, he just shot himself in the foot, berik comment kedak ya. He just proved himself as an example of an ignorant west malaysian. 2 days of visiting there and only now knows his visionary of 1Malaysia is alive and kicking in Sarawak?? duh....

Dato' Sri,
I am S’wkian. Half of my life was spent there and am now working and living in KL with my family. I know too well when you say 1Msia is alive in my hometown. We, 27 diffrent races and tribes, not only integrate but we embrace each other's diffrent cultures, customs and traditions and make them part of our everyday lifes. With due respect, I am surprised that you only observe and notice now how we S’wkians live in your 2 days visit. You just exemplify as an example of a W M’sian who is ignorant of us. We were once told to integrate more with the W Msians. Why? We, 27 races and tribes have been integrating amongst ourselves even before we join Malaya. West M’sians choose to be ignorant.To fully understand ~our main characteristics inbred in us ~ we look at another race not as a threat but as fellow Bumi Kenyalangs, our tolerance and respect with each other’s rights to practice their own religion,customs, our nature to give and take. That makes us what we are, as you have seen. |

Catzee, kamek pun terfikir giya juak tadik. Sebab dlm masa 2 days dah faham benar keadaan di Swak. Tapi sebelum tok kan nya selalu juak melawat Swak. InsyaAllah nya akan publish comment kitak. Mcm comment kamek kat blog DAP ya lalu sikda publish. Sakit ati kali sidak baca comment kamek. |
