Kim Hyun-joo, “Idol? I like C.N. Blue.”
Actress Kim Hyun-joo has said the idol that draws her attention the most is C.N. Blue.
On the 18th, this fact was discoveredwhen Kim Hyun-joo held an informal conversation with the readers of anessay about needlework, “The Story by Kim Hyun-joo’s Own Hands” (Housekeeping) in Rolling Halls, which is in front of Hongik University in Seoul.

Q: You and Hongki are in the same company, when did you first meet?
A:When I was still a trainee, I went to FT Island’s practice room, he’ssing XXX (sorry I don’t know the song.) I have wanted to see him in person before, so I thought, “He does sing real well. He’s so cool!”
Q: When did you two become close?
A: It’s not long after I joined the company. We chatted for a long timeone day and found we had a lot of things in common. Since then webecame closed without even our knowing.
Q: Did he give you a lot of support at the YAB filming set?
A: In terms of acting, the other actors helped me a lot. When I was tiredand down, of course I went chatting with Hongki. And we went hometogether in the (company) car.
Q: Will you give the girl you like shoes as present?
A: I’d rather write her a song and sing to her.
Q: What do you think is your charming spot?
A: If I met someone I like, I’d treasure her a lot. To make her smile, Ican forget my pride and become a clown. My charming spot … in terms oflook, maybe it’s my eyes. Director Hung once said, “Yonghwa, your eyeslook really kind.” I’m not that sure myself.
Q: You’ve written English lyrics. Did you spent much time learning English?
A:When it’s my first year in middle, I had a vacation to the States with my parents. I became very interested in the language and studied English hard since then. I always watch American movies and dramas and I particularly like listening to American music. I think all these have helped with my English proficiency.
Q: So you debuted in Jan 2010 in Korea and won No.1 in various music charts, how do you feel about that?
A:We got better response than expected, so we feel a lot of pressure. I won’t say it’s a big success; I just think we can walk bigger steps with that. And we can’t be a little easy with things anymore, or our previous hard work will go in vain. On the other hand, not just having understood the above, to let more people know our music, we need to work very hard anyway. We’re working so much harder than we were during the trainee days; we practice so seriously now.
Q: Your next goal?
A:My no.1 goal is to share stage with famous international bands. And I want our band to achieve recognition overseas. If possible, I want to challenge myself in acting too. I think better acting skills can help with my singing. Then there’s still so much that I need to learn and I want to take part in activities of all sorts.
