news: V6
Charts: B'z, V6
Wed, September 24, 2008 (2:01am EDT)
Last week on the album charts, Ayumi Hamasaki ended Namie Amuro's six-week run at #1, but unlike Amuro, she immediately faced strong competition the following week. Despite selling 119,000 copies, she was no match for the new "B'z The Best ULTRA Treasure" compilation from B'z, which sold 413,000 copies. This is their 23rd chart-topping album, extending the record that they set in June with "B'z The Best ULTRA Pleasure."
Only two other new albums made the top ten, both from hip-hop artists. The Sendai-based LGYankees made their first top ten appearance at #8, while ZEEBRA's sales were not far behind at #9.
On the singles side of the charts, V6 picked up first with 82,000 copies of "LIGHT IN YOUR HEART," the theme song to the new Ultraman movie. Angela Aki's latest song arrived at #3, followed by Nightmare's new tune. At #8, female duo Lil'B achieved their first top ten showing, edging out Tamio Okuda and Kazuyoshi Saito.

setiap peminat mesti nak lebihkan idol dia. But as Koichi fan, aku tak marah kalo org nak ckp suara Koichi sengau or tidak. Itu hak masing-masing. But for all i know, Koichi and Tsuyoshi have a good and strong voice and vocal. And they never do miming for all concert and live performance.
I know, im_comey is not their fan, so you can't recognize their voice. It's ok...
But as their fan, i can recognize their voice even it's blend together. I think all KinKi Kids fan also can. |

news: SMAP
SMAP have broken the 10-million barrier with the strong sales of their latest album. "Super.modern.artistic.performance" is their 18th album and first in more than two years, and entered the latest Oricon album chart at No.1 with first-week sales of 214,000. It's their fourth No.1 in a row and tenth overall. Their total album sales make them just the second Japanese vocal group (after Chage & Aska) to reach 10 million, while they reached that number of singles sold way back in 1997. The new album was released Sept. 24, the same day that SMAP started their latest concert tour at Tokyo Dome. They play the last of six nights at the 55,000-seat venue tonight, the most shows at the dome in one tour by any Japanese artist. Meanwhile on the singles chart, Morning Musume have seen their cover of the Pink Lady hit "Pepper Keibu" reach No.3, beating the No.4 rank of the 1977 original.

Charts: SMAP reaches 10 million in album sales
Wed, October 1, 2008 (1:44am EDT)
Last week, SMAP released their latest album "super.modern.artistic.performance," and as expected, it topped the charts at 214,000 in sales. This finally pushed their career album sales past the 10 million mark, becoming only the second vocal group to achieve that feat, after CHAGE and ASKA did it in 1993.
DOHZI-T sold 63,000 copies of his new album to land at #3. A soundtrack for the anime series "D.Gray-man" made #5, while rock band Plastic Tree found their way into the #9 spot.
"The Birthday ~Ti Amo~," a new song by EXILE, came in at #1 on the singles chart, moving more than 171,000 copies. Ayaka and Kobukuro sold nearly half that amount with their second collaborative single, while Morning Musume's cover of "Pepper Keibu" ranked in at #3.
The other new top ten releases were BREAKERZ (#6), Miliyah Kato (#9), and seiyu Shin-ichiro Miki (#10).
