tengah ku makan ngan member2 ku mlm tadik tang ada jak trak bomba berenti depan kedey makan tempat kmk org mkn tek. nabes la juak tek rasa ati ku.. terus kawan ku nanyak apahal ngan bomba ya.. duhal tek pokok terbakar.. tp aku sik nampak api, bara.. maupun asapnya... |

HERbiggest wish is to make sure her youngest daughter, Susie Endy,3, willbe able to receive proper education when she grows up.

She does not want Susie to end up like her five siblings who are all uneducated, unemployed and illiterate.
Thefamily problem is compounded by the fact that all her children,with theexception of two boys, do not even have birth certificates oridentitycards.
Without these documents they cannot go to school to get themuchneeded education with which to break the cycle of poverty thefamilyhas been mired in for generations.
But whether or not EmbaiBelabut, 44, from Kampong Sentosa in Sibu,can live that long to see herdream fulfilled, only God knows.

Embai,who suffers from an advanced stage of cancer that has spreadto herbones, is terminally ill and really living on borrowed time.
Infact, she has been told by doctors at Sibu Hospital that herchances ofrecovery are very slim and that she is virtually sleeping onadeath-bed. Embai was diagnosed with the deadly disease about a yearago.
Beforelast Gawai, she was sent back to her house at Kampong Sentosabut due tothe deplorable living condition of her house, doctors had tore-admither to the hospital on June 8.
Since then, Embai has made thehospital her home. Doctors said itwas all for the purpose of comfort.Recovery is really out of thequestion.

Two weeks ago, Embai抯 health condition deteriorated. Now she can hardly walk and looks very thin and fragile.
Most of the time she only lies on the bed and when she needs to go to toilet, she has to be assisted by her sons.
Speaking to thesundaypost recently, Embai, her voice barely audible, spoke of her confidence in returning to health.

揝ometimes, I will bring along the midin (a type of wild fernshoot) which I pluck from the jungle near my house and sell to thenurses for extra income to support my family. But not everyday is alucky day for me to get the midin. |
