Clemente: Madrid Fans The Most Stupid
Javier Clemente declared that the Santiago Bernabeu is the stadium where he has been treated the worst by the home fans.
Clemente, who is currently the coach of Real Murcia, has continued to fire verbal volleys at Real Madrid ahead of their La Liga meeting on Sunday.
The latest instance involves slamming the Merengue fans of dishing out poor treatment.
"Of all the stadiums in Spain, the place where I have been treated worst of all is the Santiago Bernabeu," he said.
"But the behaviour of 20 or 30 badly educated people doesn't determine the education of the whole stadium.
"I've always gone there with teams of a lower level than Real Madrid: Espanyol, Tenerife...lots of them, and they have always told me we are just there to defend," he continued.
"But I can't listen to my critics. I can't let my players down, so we will go there to defend, with everything we have got, so that Real Madrid can't score a goal against us.
"The treatment is just the same as when Real Madrid complain that they are throwing things at them in Bilbao and in Sevilla.
"If there is somebody who wants to give a medal for saying stupid things, it should go to Real Madrid's fans.
"They even pulled a pocket knife out on me, and I had to run to a secure section of the stadium," he recalled. |
