The Japanese outfit has closed a raft of territories on Shinsuke Sato’s Gantz.
Japan’s Nippon Television Network (NTV) has sold Shinsuke Sato’s Gantz to Wild Side Films for France and Tiberius for German-speaking territories. Wild Side snapped up NTV’s The Incite Mill – 7 Day Death Game, directed by Hideo Nakata, earlier in the market.
NTV also sold Gantz to Hong Kong’s Golden Harvest, Taiwan’s Catchplay and Encore Films for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. Based on a cult manga of the same name, the film stars heartthrobs Kazunari Ninomiya and Kenichi Matsuyama.
Sho Sakurai, the member of Arashi, has played the role of a patisserie in the CM of ice-cream brand "Pino".
It's his first time to wear pastry chef's uniform, but his chose the chef hat very carefully. In order to show the image of "an orthodox school", he selected a tall one among others. In the CM, when Sakurai was eating "Pino" he realized that "What? Pino has been changed!" And in all of a sudden, he transformed into a pastry chef and started to mix chocolate, dip ice-cream into the chocolate and make a piece of "Pino". "Oh that's it. Chocolate has become more delicious!" he found the answer.
To give a challenge on pouring chocolate, Sakurai was instructed by the profession pastry chef. And it is said that he learned very fast, and handled the job done perfectly. He was very happy that the clothes "look good on him". The new CM of "Pino" will be air from May 21st.

When he finds evidence of their crimes, he confronts them with an arrest warrant and a marriage proposal at the same time, giving them a choice between the two. Although his actual name will apparently not be mentioned during the show, he is known to everyone as "Unubore" for his conceit.
TBS says that they are lining up big-name actresses to play the guest role of the suspect for each episode. The network also hinted that there's even a case where the guest will be a male actor.
The regular supporting cast features Toma Ikuta (25) as an actor who is Unubore's friend, Mika Nakashima (27) as Unubore's ex-girlfriend, and Toshiyuki Nishida (62) as Unubore's father. The detective frequents a bar where he and a group of acquaintances are known as the "Unubore 5," consisting of Nagase, Ikuta, Jun Kaname (29), Ken Yahagi (38), and Mitsugoro Bando (54).
"Unubore Deka" will air on Friday nights at 10:00pm, starting in July.

SMAP's Shingo Katori to Eat up Popular Dishes of a Restaurant
Shingo Katori, the member of SMAP, will make his first appearance on the TV show "Moshimono Simulation Variety Otameshika!", and will join the battle of the popular section "Zenbu Aterumade Kaerema Ten ~Karaoke Chapter~"

V6's Sakamoto denies relationship with Nakazawa Yuko
V6's Sakamoto Masayuki (38) was present at a press event for the play he's starring in, "Alibai no nai Tenshi" (Angel without an Alibi) [July 3-19 at Tokyo Globe Theater]. Regarding his association with singer and former Morning Musume member Nakazawa Yuko (36), he denied a romantic relationship, saying "We get along well as friends."
This is the first time Sakamoto has talked about Nakazawa pubicly. The two appeared together in a play in 2001, and thereafter weekly publications have reported about their passionate relationship. They were even reported to be nearing marriage, but he furthered the negation by saying, "I'm not thinking about it at all."
He plays the role of a man working in an alibi store, creating alibis for people. As for making up his own alibis, he confessed: "When invited out for a drink a sempai from my agency, I've declined about 10 times saying my grandmother collapsed. The truth is she's fine." His co-stars are Aika Mire (45), Kazama Shunsuke (26) and others. By the way, the sempai mentioned is "H-san"=Higashiyama Noriyuki (43).
Pop/Rock group TOKIO have announced the upcoming release of their latest single -Haruka- for June 16th.
TOKIO are a well-known group under the talent agency Johnny & Associates, which is also known for producing such groups as SMAP and Arashi amongst others. -Haruka- will be composed by TUBE members Maeda Nobuteru and Haruhata Michiya, who are responsible for several compositions under their PIPELINE PROJECT alias. -Haruka- will be used as the theme song for Nippon TV's "The! Tetsuwan! DASH!!/DASH Kaigan" variety show which features TOKIO.
The single will be issued in CD and two CD+DVD formats and the title track is said to be a 'mid-tempo number with gentle lyrics'. The CD version will feature five tracks in total, while the CD+DVD versions will both feature a music video and making-of footage.
