Charts: Ikimono Gakari, NEWS
Ikimono Gakari topped the album charts this week with the best album "Ikimono Bakari ~Members BEST Selection~," selling 457,000 copies. As reported earlier, that sets this year's current record for first-week sales by a female-vocal artist.
Bon Jovi's "Greatest Hits" was #2 on the charts at 54,000 copies sold. Another overseas artist, Jamiroquai, also entered the charts at #7. The only other new releases in the top ten were from CHAGE and ASKA's ASKA (#8) and Kusuo (#10).
On the single charts, NEWS led the way with "Fighting Man," selling over 150,000 copies. They now have 13 consecutive #1 singles starting with their debut, putting them slightly ahead of KAT-TUN for the time being. However, they are still far behind the current record-holder KinKi Kids, who hold a world record at 29 consecutive number-ones starting with their debut.
Kana Nishino charted at #3 with her new song, followed by BREAKERZ at #4. Mami Kawada made her return to the top ten with a new single at #6. The rest of the top ten were also new releases, coming from The Gospellers, Sekai no Owari, Dragon Ash, and Oratorio The World God Only Knows.
Meanwhile, AKB48 was all over the DVD charts, achieving their first #1 in the variety/owarai rankings with their television show "AKB48 Nemousu TV." They actually took both the #1 and #2 spots with two simultaneously released DVDs for the show. The group also dominated the idol/image rankings: DVDs for Aki Takajo, Erena Ono, Tomomi Itano, and Watarirouka Hashiritai ranked #1, #3, #4, and #5 respectively.

saper nak dvd news yg baru, limited edition (yg sedia abes kat cdjapan... hmv, yesasia, amazon ader agik), leh beli ngan kite RM230, tp bilangan adelah terhad... leh amek by hand dr kite. first come first serve basis... leh pm atau sms kite, sebarang reply dlm thread takkan dilayan

NEWS to release Tokyo Dome concerts on DVD
Johnny’s group NEWS has announced a special gift for fans just in time for Christmas. NEWS announced that they will be releasing their recent Tokyo Dome concert via DVD on December 22nd.
From September 18th through the 28th, NEWS held a series of concerts at the Tokyo and Osaka Domes called “LIVE! LIVE! LIVE! DOME PARTY 2010.” The final day of the concert tour at the Tokyo Dome on September 28th was filmed and will be included on the live concert DVD, “NEWS DOME PARTY 2010 LIVE! LIVE! LIVE! DVD!”
The DVD will be released in a regular edition and a limited edition. The limited edition comes with tons of special bonuses for fans such as a 65 minute long documentary for the tour and a 48 page booklet.
