Campro is around 110bhp......so there's an increase of 150bhp.... as Kleemann is a tuner for Mercedes-Benz, i do think this one is gonna be quite awesome....
according to the repor ...
what do you mean?? an increase of 150bhp or an increase to 150bhp??
a supercharger theoretically can give an increase of about 30-50% over standard..that also depends on other stuffs which includes intercooler, oil cooler etc.
that's why i think 150bhp is rather tame..the kit probably doesn't come with an intercooler which will explain a lot.very Proton indeedy..typical.
done properly with intercooler, oil cooler(very important) and ECU tuning,i'd guess 180bhp is very logical, practical and possible.just a whisker above what the Waja's chassis can handle.stiffen the chassis with some bottom brace and tower brace, upgrade the dampers and springs and bigger front brakes..simply fab!!
comments anyone??

to 150bhp...sorry, my bad.....
anyway, the 'original' waja does have disc brakes on all four wheels rite? i can't imagine having a supercharged car & doing crazy speed with drum brakes on the rear...:geram:
but i think a supercharged Perdana would be better... Supergripen, the Waja supercharged front grill looks like Audi's, rite? :hmm: |

according to kleeman, they can gain 30-50% bhp with only using their supercharge with no other modification.. according to them la.. read here http://www.kleemann.dk . so i think 150bhp are preety easy to achive.
About the chasis thing, my friend convert his waja to gsr and the handling was still superb with a few mod with damper n spring la... |

yeah..only needs bigger front brakes me thinks.
i don't really like the styling of the new kit.too squarish..the need to round it up a bit and not be too garish.subtle(small) bodykit but with big intakes will do the trick. |

easy to acheive in Denmark la..remember Kleemans is a Danish company.in tropical climates like ours, heat can be a big factor in determining what kind of power increase u get especially in force induction engines.that's why i said it needs an intercooler and an oil cooler.one is to maximize the supercharger's output and neutralize the heat factor, and two is to avert an overheat of the engine which could mean disaster..
and FYI,the chassis of the Waja can only take a max of 170bhp before chassis flex rears its ugly head..this is detrimental to the footprint and also the suspension geometry.believe me,it ain't funny when u have 280bhp at your disposal but the car just doesn't want to turn where u want it to..that's why u have so many Waja 'Evo' accidents. |

hmm.....the prospect of driving a supercharged car with problematic power window is just......chilling....:lol |

i wonder why they still insist on using cheap looking light beige coloured plastics for the dash??? this colour would look nice with high quality plastics but with cheap ones they just don't work.
the shape of the SRM's interior is rather nice but the quality of materials used looks terrible.. |

Proton set to unveil new SRM on June 16
By Serina Joon
Proton Holdings Bhd is set to unveil a new model to replace the two-door
compact car, Satria, on June 16 - its first new launch since a year ago,
sources said.
The new model is expected to help shore up its market share.
A source working closely on the project said the Satria replacement model
(SRM) was named Neon, which will have a Campro engine with capacity of 1.3
litre and 1.6 litre.
The SRM project has been on the radar screen of auto enthusiasts for close
to two years.
However, Proton has delayed its launch date for almost a year, despite
earlier talk that it was to unveil the model shortly after the Savvy was
introduced in June last year.
Proton has been under intense scrutiny and facing fierce competition from
local and foreign marques that have been whetting the appetite of car
buyers with various launches of new models.
The latest models parked in showrooms are the local version of the Peugeot
206 called Naza Bestari, Naza Sutera and Toyota Yaris, all launched within
the last month.
Proton has been criticised for being slow in coming up with new models. As
a result, its market share is declining and benefited competitors,
especially Perodua with MyVi? waiting list a few months long.
Proton? market share fell to 30% in April. Just a year ago, it commanded
in excess of 40%, while four years ago, for every two cars on the
Malaysian road, one is a Proton.
