Leeteuk responds to netizens calling his ex-girlfriend a ’sponsor’

On February 9th, Leeteuk tweeted, “Please refrain from using such exploitive news titles for promotional reasons. It does not feel good.”

This was in response to various news articles which headlined Leeteuk’s ex-girlfriend as a “sponsor”. The day before, Leeteuk had revealed through “Super Junior’s Foresight” that he was under the ‘special care‘ of an older woman during his trainee days.

Apparently, his ex-girlfriend took care of him from head to toe, even giving him extra pocket change when he went shopping or to the salon. Leeteuk added, “It was both psychologically and financially helpful“.

Many media outlets viewed his relationship as unusual, and so they labelled his girlfriend as a ’sponsor’, forcing Leeteuk to make a firm rebuke.

Fans are also defending Leeteuk’s response, as they felt that the media was making intentional negative connotations with the word, ’sponsor’.

a'ah, kitorg ckp psl show King Of Idol kat pattaya yg tyg time lunar year tu. ish, xder la sampai kitorg sekodeng dorg sampai ke pattaya. kitorg just accidentally sambut dorg kat epot bangkok time dorg sampai. masa tu kitorg mmg over night kat epot lps jer tgk SS3 kat bangkok malam tu & mlm sebelum nyer...

Super Junior awarded with ‘Best Selling Album’ at the ‘2010 Gaon Chart Awards’

Super Junior was honored with the distinction of having 2010’s “Best Selling Album”, as determined by the ‘2010 Gaon Chart Awards‘ on February 9th.

The boys released their fourth full album, “Bonamana“, last year and it managed to sell a total of 201,930 album units.

The group’s leader, Lee Teuk,expressed, “We’re very happy to receive such a big award at a fair and authoritative awards ceremony. If America has the Billboard Charts and Japan has the Oricon Charts, Korea has the Gaon Charts. Every year when we go on promotions, we personally experience how it feels to be the boom of the Hallyu Wave not only in Asia, but all around the world. We will work harder in our activities.”

During the ceremony, Gaon Charts’ official offline sales data was revealed for the first time since the Recording Industry Association’s aggregates were suspended in the latter half of 2008. Online charts were also revealed for the very first time.

The Gaon Charts compiles data from online digital sales and from offline sales (both domestic and overseas).

Meanwhile, Kang Seung Yoon and G.NA were awarded the male and female rookie awards respectively. For all the chart results, please visit the Gaon official website.

    aku yg kepenatan dok dengo aper ler yg kecoh2 sgt kat airport.. aku bajet suju jer.. langsung tak tau pasal artis len.. hahahah yg best aku tgk reaksi2 org kat airport tertanya2 aper yg berlaku time tuh.. adeh.. yg tak tahan tuh aku bajet nak membuto kat situ.. last2 tak dapek sebab kena jaga brg korang.. klu aku tau mau aku berkear kat situ.. tapi dok pk cam no lak den nak tolak 2 troli tuh hahahha last2 dok dendiam jer... peh tuh aku nampak hadiff, blankie & kia lari2 kat arah aku ckp nampak PJM ngan eunhae.. tapi diorg cam tak sure... last2 bukak fancam hadiff kat komputer aku.. baru nampak eunhae ngan PJM hahahhaha...
