Manchester United reserve-team coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be unveiled as the new manager of Norwegian club Molde later this week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 14 years at United
Solskjaer has twice turned down the top job at his former club but negotiations have re-opened and the Old Trafford legend looks set to end his 14-year association with the Red Devils.
It is reported the 37-year-old flew to Molde on Tuesday to hold talks with the club's chairman Erik Berg and although no final agreement has yet been reached, Berg hinted Solskjaer could be unveiled at a press conference this week.
Berg said: "It's no secret that we have worked intensely to get Ole Gunnar. But we have not signed any contract yet. I can't guarantee that we will have a press conference this week but put it this way: I will be delighted to welcome you all back soon."
Solskjaer scored 31 goals in 42 matches for Molde in the Norwegian Premier League, before joining United in 1995 and going on to seal six Premier League titles and famously score the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final.
Former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler saved the club from relegation in his job as temporary coach but will return to England - where he has a family home. |

United set to sign 15-year-old
Manchester United are set to sign 15-year-old prodigy Mats Moller Daehli, according to reports in Norway.
The Norwegian youngster is currently playing for Stabaek in the Norwegian league and could complete a shock move to the English giants as early as this week, according to reports from Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.
If the deal does materialize, Daehli will officially become a Red Devil on 1 February 2011 after impressing during his trials at Old Trafford.
The creative midfielder made his debut for Norway U-15s during the summer in Sweden and was named the player of the tournament despite his team's disappointing performances - losing all their games.
Meanwhile, Stabaek have yet to make an official announcement on whether the youngster will indeed join the English side.
But one thing they are sure about - his exploding talent.
Stabaek coach Pal Berg described Daehli as a player with "superior technique" and is "an exceptional talent" who can "be a complete player".
It is believed that Daehli's talent was made known to the scouting departments at Old Trafford through United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's football academies.

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has quit as Manchester United reserve team coach to take over as boss of Norwegian side Molde.
Solskjaer called time on his 14-year association with the Red Devils after a glittering career at Old Trafford.
The 37-year-old will be remembered for his heart-stopping injury-time winner in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich which helped the team secure the Treble.
It was one of 126 goals in 366 appearances Solskjaer scored for United after he moved to Manchester in a £1.5million switch from Molde in 1996.
Although his career was eventually ended by a persistent knee injury in 2007, Ferguson had long-since identified Solskjaer as potential management material.
Ferguson offered him the chance of becoming reserve team boss as part of a coaching shake-up that saw the Norwegian work alongside Warren Joyce.
But with his three young children, Noah, Karna and Elijah all growing up, Solskjaer has now decided to branch out with his old club, and leaves with Fergie's blessing.
The Scot said: "Ole has had a good period with our reserve team, which has given him a foundation to start somewhere else.
"He feels it is time he went back to Norway, which also helps his family situation.
"He has been a fantastic servant to us and I am sure he will do well.
"He has worked with some really good young players in our reserve team and has contributed to their development.
"Once he gets experience of managing a club in its own right who knows where it will take him?
"Molde is a very progressive club in Norwegian football, so this is a good start for him."
Solskjaer replaces former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler at Molde, who finished 11th in the Norwegian top flight last season.
He will take up his new duties in January ahead of a new campaign that begins in March. |

Blanc 'interested' in succeeding Fergie at United
France coach Laurent Blanc has admitted he "could be interested" in managing Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson retires, but stressed that until that day comes he is fully focused on his job with les Bleus.

• Forum: Who will win the derby?
Ferguson has been in the Old Trafford hotseat for 24 years and while he has not given any indication that he is set to call it a day soon, speculation persists about who his eventual successor will be.
The likes of Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho and Everton manager David Moyes are among those who have been tipped as possible replacements for Ferguson, and Blanc himself emerged as a possible candidate after guiding Bordeaux to the Ligue 1 title in 2009.
And while Blanc, who marshalled United's defence for two years before retiring from playing, says he is currently concentrating on leading France to Euro 2012, he did not rule out putting himself forward to succeed Ferguson when the time comes.
"Sir Alex is the cornerstone of Manchester United," Blanc told Reuters. "He personifies Manchester's project, he's got this passion.
"It would be a very interesting, although a very tough challenge but maybe interesting if he is the one starting it [his replacement's process] with me or someone else. But I could be interested."
"It would please me a lot. But it would be tough to find a successor to Sir Alex. He has done it for 24 years and it will not be easy. For now, I am not in that [United] project. I have another challenge." |
