Kristine: No time for boys; 'A Love Story' is top-grosser

Actress Kristine Hermosa said she remains single after her breakup withactor Diether Ocampo, while the cast of "A Love Story" flew to theUnited States for the American premier of their film.

Kristine Hermosa makes her highly-anticipated television comebackvia ABS-CBN's new teleserye "Prinsesa ng Banyera" (Princess of the Tub)but is still without a boyfriend, contrary to rumors spreading in thetabloids.

She stars with actors TJ Trinidad and Geoff Eigenmann, as well as veteran thespian Jacklyn Jose in the new series.

Kristine plays a tomboyish, "one of the boys" character in the soapopera but says she has no time for boys in real life. She said shewould rather focus on making a successful comeback on television.

"Dalawa lang ba o tatlo? Damihan niyo pa. Obvious naman na wala akongboyfriend (Just two or three? Give me some more. It's obvious that I'msingle right now)," said Kristine, referring to numerous men beinglinked to her in the tabloids.

Kristine added that she feels so relieved that after her break-up withDiether, all the issues and rumors hounding them have died down.

Meanwhile, Aga Mulach, Maricel Soriano and Angelica Panganiban happilymade their trip to the United States for the US premiere of theirlatest film "A Love Story", following reports that their top-grossingfilm has already earned a hundred million pesos at the box-office. Kristine Hermosa is back on primetime television with her new teleserye Prinsesa ng Banyera, together with TJ Trinidad and Rafael Rosell. During the cast pictorial of the said soap earlier today, September 7, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) got the chance to catch up with the series' female lead.

"Ako si Maningning, very responsible, mabait na bata, [at] sexy! Dapat magawa ko 'yong character na iyon!" said an excited Tin, as Kristine is more popularly known. "May values naman [siya]. Hindi palengkera. Ako 憏ong pinaka-nanay ng mga kaibigan ko."
  
Tin plays a fish wholesaler at the piers, where she will meet the character of TJ Trinidad. The soap is Tin's current big project since Palimos ng Pag-ibig.

"Actually, nagsabay-sabay, e. 慞ag walang work, totally wala. 慞ag pahinga ka, pahinga ka talaga," she explained.


HOMEBUDDY. Though she had free time on her hands in between projects, the 24-year-old actress admitted that she is not the type who goes out and parties.

"Hindi kasi rin ganoon 憏ong personality ko na outgoing, e. Sobra lang talaga ako sa bahay. Homebuddy lang talaga. Nagkataon pa na sobra akong close sa mga lalaki kaysa sa mga babae. Mas buddy-buddy ko 憏ong mga lalaki kaysa sa mga girls."

After her relationship with Diether Ocampo ended, Tin revealed that she already expected people to think that she dates the guys she is seen with because of her recluse personality. She was recently rumored to be going out with Rajiv, a non-showbiz Middle Eastern guy.

"We're not dating. Kawawa naman kasi very private din kasi 憏ong family noon, e. So kawawa in a sense kasi nasasabit 憏ong pangalan niya dito. Pero hindi ko siya dine-date, kaibigan ko lang siya and kaibigan din siya ni Diet," she clarified.

"Kasi nandito siya for a vacation kasi nandito 憏ong family niya. Siyempre ako naman, kaibigan lang naman din ako, di ba? And noong nandoon din naman ako sa U.S., sila ang nag-alaga sa akin. Tinour din naman ako ng mga friends ko, pero lagi kaming grupo."

"Inilabas ko rin siya pero hindi kaming dalawa lang. I was always with my friend, 憏ong kaibigan kong babae. Never kaming naiwan together na kaming dalawa lang. Inilabas ko lang din siya, kung ano 憏ong free time ko."

She added, "Alam ni Diet na nilalabas ko. There was this one time nga na nagkita pa sila. Kasi si Diet sobrang busy siya lately kasi nga may ginagawa siyang soap, so pag may free time lang siya 憈saka lang siya nakakasama sa amin. So ayun, sumama siya noong last day ata 憏on nung friend ko [Rajiv]."

  
OYO SOTTO. Tin mentioned that this wasn't the first time that she was linked to the people she goes out with.

"Feeling ko ganoon lang talaga 憏ong iisipin ng mga tao kasi they never saw me talaga na going out with guys other than Diether. Feeling na nila something's going on."

She named Oyo Sotto as one of those guy friends.
  
"Even 憏ong Oyo part na siguro first time lang nila ako nakita lumabas, kasi I don't really go out. Dumating ako sa point ng buhay ko na gusto ko na I wanted to enjoy kumbaga 憏ong age ko naman kasi never ko naman napagdaanan 憏on."

"Nagkataon na sobra kaming nag-click ni Oyo. Imagine from Enteng Kabisote 1 and 2, every year kaming magkasama, pero naging close lang kami doon sa Enteng Kabisote 3 na. Parang hindi ba sila nagtataka kung bakit ngayon lang [kami] naging close? Kasi nga I don't really mingle. I don't talk. Nahihiya pa ako sa kanila noong kapanahunan na 'yon."

After almost 14 years in the business, Tin acknowledged that her life is an open book because of her profession.

"Tina-try ko pa rin i-save 憏ong private life ko kahit na ganoon, kahit na kung ano na lang ang naiiwan sinusubukan ko pa ring saluhin. Ang hirap, e. Hindi ko kasi gusto 憏ong napapanood ko sa TV na everybody knows kung anong nangyayari sa buhay mo araw-araw... 慪ong mga big events nga ng buhay mo, alam na, 慸i ba? Iyong iba naman sana ibigay na lang sa 'yo."
