hi kwn2... so far sy lihat kebykan games yg bleh didapati kat kedai2 game biasenye dibuat oleh company luar negara. nape malaysia jarang ade org develope game utk promote kat local?

rmai student belajar C++, 3Dmax etc... pendek kata mrk mampu membina games.. nape tak pnah kite tgk kat rak2 kedai game terdapat game buatan malaysia? ape halangannye?

salah satu sebab yang menyebabkan ianya pahit untuk diterima ialah adanya sikap 'jeles tak bertempat' di kalangan developers, jangan kata developer game, web pun sama.

Lagi satu yang ketara, kalau belajar programming dekat U, masa exam atau time belajar bukan belajar praktikal pun, teori je banyak (tapi bukan semua U lah). Buat apa belajar definisi segala tu, baik ajar yang hard-core, baru ada faedahnya.

dan masih ada lagi sikap nak suh orang lain buat assignment

mungkin kat mesia nih kene ade org berani buat baru ade pembaharuan kot... kalo sy ade ilmu programming yg cukup mesti buat game pasal Islam RPG... org2 barat tak suka buat game mcam tuh... lagi sy nak buat ....hehehe..

kalo buat game RPG kesultanan melayu langkasuka dan melaka pn ok gak... bina kampung, ladang, tentera, istana, perang etc....

aku pakai pure c ngan c++ (without extension, plugins org whatever)

3d modelling aku pakai max, tapi prefer hardcoded vertices by vertices

actually ramai yang boleh buat game..

tapi bukan yang betul-betul boleh tarik minat orang nak main la..

setakat game macam chess, monopoly, sudoku, etc la...

em...btol.. mmg rmai yg belajar C++, DirectX, 3ds Max etc... teknikal no problem, tp kreativiti dan idea tuh yg mencetus minat utk main.

ko suke main game jenis real time RPG tak? mcam Anno 1701, warcraft, civilization. kalo buat RPG  game pasal kerajaan islam langkasuka dan melaka mcam ne ko rase? rmai tak org minat....kalo bkan krjn melayu bleh gak kite buat game berunsur pemerintahan islam mcm Khalifa Salahuddin etc....peperangan strategi ngan kaum Quraisy dan kafir.  tp yg pasti nak buat game mcam tuh mmg susah lah...

ko mmg keje dlm line multimedia ke? ke utk hobby semata2? ko ade buat game gak ke? ade website? bg lah tgk...

aku still beginner utk 3D modeling gune Max. sebelum nih aku focus buat virtual music composing. tp member aku mmg terer buat movie dan storyboard. ingatkan in future bleh buat movie animation ngan dia... tp baru2 nih cetus idea plak nak blajar programming utk buat game.... tp sekadar indie jer lah.

aku dgr kata blajar programming nih mmg susah....theori jer mmg tak cukup... tp pengalaman tuh yg paling penting kan? even thou Quake 3 takkan wujud kalo bukan start from groud up dari Quake 1.

lg pun tak bleh harap sgt kat DarkBASIC utk buat game.... tak cukup customize.

kalau bagi game racing, memang laju je aku nak main..hehe

tapi kalau nak suruh support, boleh je...

memang takde langsung game yang berunsurkan ketimuran neh...

tu pasal la orang barat boleh exploit dan manipulate knowledge diorang untuk

tindas orang yang lemah macam kita neh...

nak develop game strategy neh boleh, tapi ambil masa la...

untuk research process  la.. development process la.. etc la...

kalo nak buat game RPG dan MMO rasenye kene at least level 70 programming kot... hehe... aku baru 'level 1 script kiddie' jer... bercita2 tinggi tapi tak berkemampuan.... tak per lah.... everything starts from the very begining, yes.... VERY.

tapi kalo nak buat game mcam racing bleh gune DarkBasic Pro. Dia tak perlu programming knowledge, hanye perlu basic script dan command jer. simply saying dia cut down bhg programming dan kitorang hanye perlu click and drag...dan yg paling penting: ability & creativity

yg support DarkBasic Pro bleh gune FPS/first person shooter creator, Dark Physic etc... function dia utk buat game jenis FPS mcam half-life or quake. dlm program tuh pun sama gak hanye perlu click and drag jer... kalo nak modify ngan model 3D sendiri pun boleh....

1. mmg tujuan aku nak menggalakkan/share ilmu utk anak2 malaysia belajar. disamping tu aku pun boleh blaja skali.. hehe...

2. sejarah aku ngan computer graphics
start darjah 3: logo tutle, dr halo, picture maker, lotus 123
darjah 4: main ngan autocad 2.6, turbo c, gwbasic, quickbasic, turbo pascal
kat kolej 3ds4
dah kerja baru focused on extreme programming (as hobby)

3. dlm game (yg x siap tu) tu ada f15, kira f15 tu main character aaa.. lakaran model tu x de. sbb aku buat modelling straight from f15 images found on web to max - main agak2 jer. hehe..

4. kat blog x de screenshot game tu lagi. skarang tengah buat rendering engine.

5. avatar tu aku ambik gambar kat web jer... pastu touchup.. hehe..

6. aku x suka offline rendering. biasanya offline rendering ambik masa mengikut complexity ngan berapa panjang animation tu - there are no define answer on how long it takes to render a total/fraction of one animation.

aku prefer realtime rendering - this is where extreme programming is required. aku punya target: 60 fps (frame per second) or 0.0167 sec per picture (mcm kat blog tu)

total targeted file size is 64kb (rendering engine + models + texture + animation + ai)

sejarah aku ngan pc graphic start tingkatan 4 kot kalo tak silap. tp virtual sampling and music composing dah bbrp tahun mcam tuh lah.

kalo tak offline rendering maksudnye gune bbrp pc utk render bersama2 ke? sbb tuh cost buat movie dan animation nih agak mahal kan? dulu masa ko blajar 3ds Max try2 sendiri ke blajar ngan reference dan tutorial?

x buat movie.. buat realtime visualization. 1 pc jer. gc ati 9600xt. 1g ram. intel 3.0ht.

semua blaja sendiri jer. dulu kat kolej blaja cobol ngan c jer - very2 outdated.
