Dapat offer keja tapi boss tak tau i peknen

hi all....i nak mintak pendapat,i baru je dpt offer keja from international company,tapi comp tu tak le besar...interview conducted thru phone...i didnt mention to them that i am 5 mths peknen...tup tup i dapat offer...so help macam mana i nak buat...klu i just accept the offer,adakah i dianggap menipu???? klu i declair before i accept,nanti i melopong tak de keja...sekarang ni pun temp job je....pls help ye... |

company tu ada letak syarat ke kalau pregnant tak diterima bekerja? sbb kalau takde, takyah risau la... dia pun tak tanya kan masa interview tu? tapi kalau ada tanya and u tak jawab tu lain laa... |

tak...tak tanya pun,takkan i tetiba nak jawab,but anyway i nak email kat dia.cakap la interested bla bla bla,tapi i peknen...klu against their policy what can i do? lagipun i nak a good start for both sides...tks foxey...i mmg frust giler la klu dia org reject..... |

post apa ni? kalau post tu melibatkan kerja2 lasak, maybe dia takmo org yg tgh pregnant sbb takut apa2 jadi kat mummy and baby... tapi biasanya, kalau keje kat opis, pregnant ke tak, tak menjadi masalah... tapi ok gak u inform dorang awal2 pasal ur pregnancy... tawakal jer la minah... kalau dah rezeki u, surely u leh dapat nyer... kalau tak, cuba lagi k... jgn putus asa... |

ada policy yg melindungi orang peknen ni. mana bole sbb peknen dia xkasik kita keje. |

dalam akta pekerjaan 1955:
Pekerja wanita tidak boleh dipecat daripada pekerjaannya semasa dalam cuti bersalin
Seseorang pekerja wanita:-
(i) yang masih tidak hadir bekerja selepas berakhir tempoh kelayakan cuti bersalinnya dengan sebab sakit yang disahkan oleh pegawai perubatan yang berdaftar; dan
(ii) yang sakit akibat kehamilan dan kerana bersalin,
tidak boleh ditamatkan perkhidmatannya atau tidak boleh diberi notis penamatan perkhidmatan sehingga ketidakhadirannya itu melebihi 90 hari. |

thylord...company tu based kat canada...tak de org yg incharge in HR kat sini....tapi ntah le,ntah ntah auta...tapi company tu client jobstreet...should i be aware of this company? |

a lot of companies hired people thru phone..but of course before you accept any offer or apply the job, research should help you to decide...
I used to be hired thru phone as well by UK based company..no problem..of course they do not have any HR people in KL but only operation...so some are true companies but there are not as well...just be careful...
Few questions you can ask them to make sure the job if real or not...
Simple question is your Payroll...how they are going to make payment...how about income tax, EPF...
Another one is related to your career development..who will monitor your performance...will there any personnel to guide you or to assess your performance... |

Biasa yg aku tau lah, dari kengkawan aku pun yg dpt keje through phone interview ni, jenis support group la. Tak kira la ape pun, dia support utk product diorang, macam dhl, err tmnet tech phone support tu, lebih kurang gitulah.Working hours pun ade yg odd time. Ye lah nakikut time overseas. Tapi ada baiknya research dulu. baru puas ati. Bab ngandung tu,,ko belasah je la tanya, nak menyamar pun takper. Janji dpt tau kan. |

it's good that u think this way..bkn apa it happened once to my friend...she applied for a job at this acctg firm...time i/v she was a few months pregnant...so mmg tak nampak la dia pregnant...but when she joined there and informed her boss (time tu perut dia dah bsr) dat she's pregnant, boss dia bkn main marah lg sb tak bgtau awal...but risiko yg u may hv to bear is the possibility of not getting the job...bkn apa, just rite a few months u msk kerja, u dah kena maternity leave, which some employers dont prefer...anyhow it all depends on the boss/co juga... |

maybe its for ur good kot. keje dia tu cemana? mana tau if u dpt keje tu at last u xtahan, mcm keje i skg ni, bila2 masa je u kene tinggal anak, tinggal family. anytime u bole je ditukar ke mana2. kalo u jenis xkisah maybe xpela bg u, tp kalo u jenis kisah, employer tu pon kene kire jugak dia nyer kerugian kalo u tolak ntuk satu2 task.
cari keje lain je la. |

hmmm..that is so unfair!!
understandably most companies tanak hire pregnant woman sbb nanti susah nak cari ganti time pompuan tu amek mat leave etc.
but I think, you better check with pejabat buruh, ada tak legislation yg melarang employee buat macam ni.
saya tak pasti sgt undang2 kat msia macam mana sbb so far x pernah kja kat msia lagi, tapi if this company is an international company and is supposedly based in canada, I'm sure there's an act that prevent them from doing this to you.
I've worked in UK,ireland n NZ, mmg kat negara2 ni, the employer has to be fair to all their applicants, tak boleh discriminate you just because you're pregnant, which in this case, very obvious sbb dia tarik balik offer tu after you cakap u tgh pregnant. depends on whether it was a verbal/written offer, silap2 you can even sue them for discrimination.
cuma bezanya,kat oberc kalau waktu kita masuk kja tu kita dah pregnant, kita tak layak dapat paid maternity leave, ada la syarat2nya, say you have to work for the company for 6 months bla bla for you to be entitled to paid leave,so since bila masuk dah pregnant, then kja 3 bulan, bersalin, tak dapat la paid leave, dapat unpaid leave saja, or half salary or watever, depending on the company's policy. |
