how to recover windows 8 original, my current windows 8 got startup failure

my current windows 8 got startup failure. i want to format it. but i don't want to lose my original windows 8.. i've search everywhere for the windows product key(that usually found at the base of the laptop) but i found nothing.. where can i recover the product key.? help me please..

Recent laptop now all have dedicated partition for recovery. You just need to boot it and restore everything to manufacturer released.
