Drew Barrymore Is a Married Lady

Drew Barrymore's a married lady, as the movie star wed art consultant Will Kopelman at her Montecito, Calif. home Saturday. The couple, who are expecting their first child together, managed to keep the event private, though -- and the only wedding photos you'll find this morning are some cute snapshots of the just-marrieds leaving the party, smooching in the backseat of a classic Mercedes convertible. So maybe someone should try reaching Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson for the full report. Those three actresses were on the guest list, along with Jimmy Fallon, Steven Spielberg, and Busy Phillips, Us Weekly and People report -- and according to Us, family and friends were all gathered at Barrymore's place by 6:30 p.m. Saturday, when outdoor ceremony took place.
Barrymore was dressed in Chanel, which may as well have been written into her vows, considering her new father-in-law was once the CEO of the fashion house. (E! News notes her ensemble was designed especially for her by Karl Lagerfeld -- and her white muslin and organza gown was cinched with a black-satin belt.)
The groom's family rabbi was flown in from New York to officiate, E! reports, and following the 45-minute service -- which reportedly included a reading of e.e. cummings’ poem "I Carry Your Heart With Me" -- there was some requisite scarfing of finger-foods and dancing. (According to Us Weekly, Barrymore hired an '80s cover band for the night, so maybe fans aren't the only ones with fond memories of The Wedding Singer.) By 2 a.m., though, the newlyweds were ready to leave, and Us Weekly reports they drove off to the San Ysidro Ranch for their wedding night.
This is the third marriage for Barrymore. The actress filed for divorce from first husband, bar owner Jeremy Thomas, two months after their 1994 wedding. She and Canadian comedian Tom Green wed in July 2001; Green filed for divorce in December that year.
