Proton... IN IRAQ???
Proton, Malaysia's national pride... Well one of it I think. Anyway, I was doing some research for my ELACS powerpoint presentation and i needed to look for pictures of Australian Troops in East Timor... So I typed Australian Army on Flickr and look what popped up... A white Proton Wira next to a Digger pulling security by an ASLAV.
 Wow, I thought Protons were only exported to Australia, South Africa and the UK... But upon further research... Proton is sold in at least 16 other countries. This white Proton apparently is not a Wira but a Putra... The Putra is a 2 door version of the Wira sold in the UK and Australia... This model is identical to this...
How cool is that. But how did it get there? Some PMC from UK decided to introduce his "favorite" car to the Iraqi people... Who knows... I remember a friend of mine, who told me he found a picture of a NAZA Ria being used in Iraq by PMC's. And it was fitted with a .50 Cal... I found this to be utter bullshit cause he couldn't prove it. Anyway, thats all i will be posting for this week...
