Demi Lovato 'Destroyed' by Joe Jonas' 'Fake' Love
Demi Lovato's recent breakdown could be caused by her failed romance with Joe Jonas. Amidst numerous speculations on why she decided to check into rehab, celebrity blogger Zack Taylor claimed that the Disney songstress "totally lost" when she figured out that the middle member of the Jonas Brothers dated her only to higher the rating of their movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam".
"She felt everything was a big lie," Zack's source dished. "When Joe [Jonas] and his father told her the truth, she couldn't deal with anything anymore, even though Joe admitted he did have some feelings. She still totally lost it, and nothing was ever the same after that. She didn't know who to trust or what was real anymore. In all honesty, she loved Joe, and to find out it was all fake, destroyed her."
On the effects of the break-up itself on the 18-year-old, the insider claimed, "She immediately started blaming herself after they split, and wanted to change everything." The source further continued, "She tried to move on. She started seeing other guys to distract her. But being stuck on tour with Joe and his new girlfriend did her in as we see now...All her feelings just exploded at once."
While bullying, eating disorder and altercation have also been speculated as the reasons why Demi decided to seek professional help, her father noted that it was the pressures of showbiz life that really got to her. To Radar Online, Patrick Lovato said, "There are a lot of pressures. That is one of the things I worried about when she signed with Disney. It's just going to happen."
The "Sonny with a Chance" star has shocked fans with statement from her representative that she is checking into medical center to seek treatment "for emotional and physical issues" shortly after she bailed on her South America tour with Jonas Brothers. The rep added, "[Demi] regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."
