A man wanted to get into his work building, but he had forgotten his
code.
However, he did remember five clues. These are what those clues were:

The fifth number plus the third number equals fourteen.

The fourth number is one more than the second number.

The first number is one less than twice the second number.

The second number plus the third number equals ten.

The sum of all five numbers is 30.
What were the five numbers and in what order?

Piece a cake..it took me a piece of A4 paper and 4 minutes to solve it
The answers

First number is 7
Second number is 4
Third Number is 6
Fourth number is 5
Fifth number is 8

Total number added is 30..

Correct or not??

Assume:

First number    = A
Second number = B
Third Number = C
Fourth number  = D
Fifth number    = E

The fifth number plus the third number equals fourteen --> E + C = 14 ... (Eq 1)

The fourth number is one more than the second number --> D = B + 1 ... (Eq 2)

The first number is one less than twice the second number --> A = 2B - 1 ... (Eq 3)

The second number plus the third number equals ten --> B + C = 10 ... (Eq 4)

The sum of all five numbers is 30 --> A + B + C + D + E = 30 ... (Eq 5)

Solutions:

Given, E + C = 14 ... (Eq 1)
and    A + B + C + D + E = 30 ... (Eq 5)

Thus,
      => (Eq 1) into (Eq 5)
      => A + B + D + (E+ C) = 30
      => A + B + D + 14 = 30
      => A + B + D + = 30 - 14
      => A + B + D = 16 ... (Persamaan 1)

From (Eq 2), D = B + 1
From (Eq 3), A = 2B - 1

Put (Eq 2) and (Eq 3) into (Persamaan 1),
Therefore,

      => A + B + D = 16
      => (2B - 1) + B + (B + 1) = 16
      => 2B - 1 + B + B + 1 = 16
      => 4B = 16
      => B = 16 / 4
      => B = 4 ... (Persamaan 2)

From (Persamaan 2),

      => A = 2B - 1
      => A = 2(4) - 1
      => A = 8 - 1
      => A = 7 *

      => B + C = 10
      => 4 + C = 10
      => C = 10 - 4
      => C = 6*

      => D = B + 1
      => D = 4 + 1
      => D = 5*

      => E + C = 14
      => E + 6 = 14
      => E = 14 - 6
      => E = 8*

Therefore, A + B + C + D + E = 7 + 4 + 6 + 5 + 8
                                                   = 30*
