Gautama Buddha is Buddhism.he is not from Hinduism..
He was raise as a hindu. When he set out his quest, he realise that hindusim and brahmaism is wrong and not the real path as the path to god that time was passed on to only son in the brahman`s family.
he think this is wrong as the path should be shared to all people and he challenge these two religion and seek the real path. and he found middle path. Gautama never claim he is God and ask people not to worship him. :hmm:
then Buddhsim are wide spread in India and some brahma monks claim gautama as the 10th reincarnation of Lord Vishnu
