Dayang laughs off RM60,000 pay-off

THE loss of potential revenue sustained by Dayang Nurfaizah Awang Dowty in 10 weeks of the One In A Million far outweighs the amount rumoured to have been paid to her to gracefully leave the show.

She said talk that she received RM60,000 from the organisers to leave the reality TV talent search was nonsense as it was ?uch a small figure?.

Dayang maintains the ?oing price?, if any, would have been more than just a third of her losses.

?n the 10 weeks of competition in One In A Million, I incurred losses of about RM180,000 in potential revenue from shows. During that period, I could only accept limited number of shows on weekdays.?

Laughing off the rumours, she said: ?f there was such a thing, I wouldn? have settled for that figure. It? such a small figure.?

Rumours have been rife amid dissatisfaction when Dayang missed the cut for the finals that her departure was ?lanned?.

The R&B songbird also shrugged off rumours of bad blood between her and several other contestants, who according to sources, had been talking behind her back and engaging in backbiting even after the competition.

? have not heard of the rumours. Or at least, I haven? heard anything said to my face. I? okay with it. Everything? normal.?

Dayang was, however, not amused over the reported cattiness and said: ?hatever it is, I already have four albums to my name. If they are saying anything about me behind my back, I think it? petty. I have heard the comments made by some contestants on the diary reports on the progress of the show, but if there? anything beyond that, I think it? silly.

?hey don? know what? waiting for them outside. The industry is bigger than just a competition and I think they have the mistaken assumption that it? easy to survive in the local music industry.?

Bitchiness aside, Dayang had no regrets entering the show.

?n a lot of ways, the show has had a positive impact as I?e been able to hone my showmanship.?

And now, she is ready to launch her latest offering, her fifth studio album by the year end.

The album will come after Dayang Sayang Kamu which was released on Oct 31, 2004.

hrp2 dia pandai menabung...tengah laku kena byk simpan duit....nanti kalau dah tak laku payah nak carik duit kalau tak reti menabung.

Dia nyanyi lagu santan harmoni tu sebab dpt bayaran lar kot.kalau tak dia tak nyanyi lagu tuh he he :-)

Tu maknanya suara Dyg bagus utk iklan..mcm zaman2 salmiah hassan dulu...bagus ler tu....mmg patut dier ambik apa2 job yg boleh bg duit..asalkan job tu bermaruah.
