Problem with PUBLIC TRANSPORT? Ada masalah dengan Pengangkutan Awam?

Hello there,

Ever have a problem with our Public transport?
Does your bapa tak kasi you naik bas or taxi awam? Kerana tak Selamat ? takut b'cos tgk news tentang kes ragut dan lain lain?

If u know anyone or you are a parent or child who are facing this problem because of bad experience. Do come share with us.

kalo pasal publictransport.. esp bus & taxi mmg parents  aku tak bg anak2 dia balik sorang2.. risau katanye.. wpon anak dia ni da umo 26 tawon & da kawen :lol

hmm mine is abit off topic, tapi still ada sangkut paut with the public transportation..
I do commute the train each day, and satu prob yng quite annoying is BO.. mcm mana laa kita nak tutop hidung

Ulat2 bus at puduraya, they cheated ppl every damn day.. n make u feel extremely deceive n diperbodoh2kan. I experienced this once, just recently & it pisses me off to the max. I can't imagine what would the foreigners feel about Malaysian when they're being cheated at the so called Malaysia's main bus terminal - Puduraya that should link everyone throughout peninsular malaysia via bus. Hmm, i guess no wonder malaysian (KL) are being ranked by reader's digest reader as the 3rd WORST city in the world, in the view of courtesy level!

This people, they are living in desperation (i can't believe that malaysian are becoming really aggresive in cheating n taking advantage on other ppl). They would do everything to ensure that u purchase their bus ticket (so that they will get the commission), but they wouldn't care whether u will reach ur destination properly, at a reasonable time. I bet most of us, must have had at least once being cheated by the so called Ekspress XXX XXX (they have too many names of expresses, countless, camouflaging their dirty tactis with their super VIP coach).  

For example, this express busses will PROMISE the passenger that they will bring them to Penang expressly (by the term express, the bus should go directly to Penang), at 4.30pm departure. The real thing that happened, they will only depart until the bus is full, regardless of the schedule departure time promised, sometimes it will take even 1 hour but they just don't care. And they will ignorantly make a stop at Ipoh or Taiping bus station, before reaching the final destination, Penang. And the journey that are supposed to take normally 4 hours, will be around 6hours ++. In this case, if ur the passenger going to penang, how would u feel? If you're a foreigner, not knowing what ipoh n taiping is, what would u feel? If u're really in a hurry (maybe something's up in Penang), how would u feel? Obviously these bus operators, they just think of profit, taking advantage on naive passenger, n they don't even care about the passenger's need. Through my experience, sometimes this busses even abandoned (drop off) passengers by the road side (not at the bus station as promised earlier), leaving them clueless n helpless (imagine if the passenger is a mother with child or elderly?).

Well, this scenario happened at puduraya every single day. I believe this is not a new phenomenon at puduraya. I don't know whether the authority is doing anything to curb this. But of course, there is a few realiable bus operater, but 80% of other bus operater are cheating on public every day, just to make profit for themselve. I'm so dissapointed with the attitude of these bad bus operator, they're dealing with the public from all walk of life, malaysian n foreigners... We can't deny that what's going on at puduraya right now is tarnishing the country's image... as this will eventually be interprated as the true colors of malaysian....

aku dok klang, bas kat sini kira bagus, on time tapi masalah sbb terlalu ramai foreign workers. indonesia/bangladesh/viet/myanmar/india... u name it, u got it. macam mana nak rasa selamat kalau diorang ni masuk berhimpit2 tak kira lelaki/perempuan. pernah sekali aku naik bas sbb nak naik ktm komuter... ada aci ni bangun sbb nak bagi a guy yg dok sebelah dia turun... guess what...? an indonesian guy terus duduk kat tempat tu dan suruh dia dok belakang sbb dia nak dok ngan awek dia.

it's time to have separate seats for men and women unless we want the passengers to be bullied/sexually harassed.  until then, i'd rather drive.

i dunno whether u'll be interested in this or not tapi kita cerita jelah.  bas kat shah alam lak nama je bandaraya tapi bas intracity kebykannya bas mini lapuk. murah mmglah murah setakat 80sen sekali naik tapi waktu pun murah... suka2 nak jalan. selagi tak padat cam tin sardin mmg takkan jalan. seat pun sgtlah murah... kalau kena duduk sebelah lelaki mmg jawapnya senanglah terpelanting sbb ruang duduk dah tinggal sikit. kalau pergi keje naik bas mini, chances dpt show cause letter mmg tinggi sbb senang sgt dtg lewat dari dtg awal.

So far I tak de problem ngan public transport. Part yg tak selamat tu i rasa boleh ambik preventive measure. For myself contohnyer :
1) I tak bawak handbag most of the time. reason: biler both tangan free, senang sket nak karate org yg kacau kiter or nak bukak lang seribu.
2) I tak bawak notebook PC kat dlm notebook bag. Most of my frenz kena snatch bag sbb bawak notebook bag. Notebook kan harganyer mahal, so sah2 ler snatch thief tu target yg paling mahal kita bawak.
3) I tak pakai barangan kemas. in a way, i potray message " klu korang curik pun tak banyak yg korang boleh dpt dr aku. Next target pls" .  heheheh this always work
4) I tak pakai pakaian yg portray yg i berkerja & banyak duit. Since my work place allow jeans & t-shirt to work, inilah yg i pakai hari2. ( this method pun never failed me so far)
5) Always pakai flat shoes. Bukannyer apa, klu dgn heels tu karang, camana nak lari laju beb. So if i rasa i nak melawa, i makeup & tukar baju kat opis. So dlm opis jer la mcm lady sket.
6) Always be alert or pretend that u are very alert. Contohnyer, kejap2 tengok belakang, jgn pakai h/phone masa tengah sensorang, and klu tengok keliling tu make sure u hv eye contack ngan org keliling. ( this method pun never failed me so far)


hmmm itu jer lah yg i dpt share for now. Actually, banyak lg preventive measure yg i ambik tp klu nak list kan sumer, baik i buat karangan . tak kuasa i nak taip pepanjang.
