Lana Del Rey becomes a Charlie’s Angels as she joins Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande on music video shoot Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey have been pictured shooting the music video for their upcoming lead single Don’t Call Me Angel, to support the new Charlie’s Angels film. Lana was seen rocking a very Charlie’s Angel-themed outfit, wearing tight black trousers with a leather jacket and biker boots after arriving on set in Los Angeles in a lavender top and denim shorts. Miley was also seen in a red and white stripe shirt, and the pop stars were thought to have been joined by Ariana Grande as well, although she was not pictured.
The girls were asked to do the official soundtrack to the Kristen Stewart and Elizabeth Banks’ film, and it’s giving us some major summer, girl power, independent women vibes and more. Miley and Ariana have been fangirling one another since March, igniting demand for a collaboration from the fans, while Lana and Ariana’s friendship also goes way back, with Summertime Sadness singer previously talking about how much she loves Ariana’s music.
Elizabeth will direct the film which stars Kristen, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the new-era Angels. Elizabeth will also play a gender-flipped Bosley in the movie, taking over the role previously played by David Doyle, Ramon Rodriguez and Bill Murray.
The film will honour the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels, Elizabeth says. Twilight star Kristen will star as ‘hard-partying, highly skilled wild card’ Sabina Wilson, while Ella will play ‘the ex-MI6 muscle of the group’ and Aladdin’s Naomi is Elena Houghlin, the MIT-trained scientist who serves as ‘the heart of the movie’. Charlie’s Angels arrives in cinemas 15 November 2019.
