According to the teachings of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam), material possessions do not constitute the real wealth of this world.
Aboo Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) quoted the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) as saying, "Wealth is not [measured] in property, but in contentment." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol.8, p.304, no.453)
Alexander the Great said,
"Bury my body and don't build any monument. Keep my hands out so the people know that the one who won the world had nothing in hand when he died."
Be content and you will be the wealthiest of the people.
