Lashkar using kids for terror attacks
It was an offer they could not refuse.Poorest of the poor – children of vegetable vendors –  Rs. 500 meant a lot to them.So when the man handed them two  Rs. 500 notes, just for lobbing a few bombs, the two boys just could not say no.The rest was history.

            
            
            
                        
        
         
Caught on CCTV cameras, the incident of August 2 gained notoriety overnight — two teenage boys lobbing grenades at a police post in Sopore town. They were pushing a handcart. They took cover while throwing a grenade and then melted away into a narrow lane.It gave nightmares to security agencies in the Valley. This was the first time Lashkar-e-Taiba used children for terror acts, they said. And the fact that the boys were paid for it – something that has come to light now -- has only made matters worse.   
"Children from weaker sections can be easily influenced this way," said Imtiaz Ahmad, superintendent of police, Sopore, who investigated the case and caught the boys.
A few other boys have been identified who are hired stone pelters, he said. In time, they can even take up militancy as a livelihood.
"Children are very vulnerable," agreed BN Ramesh, inspector general of CRPF based in Srinagar. "There are around 2,000 children in Sopore area alone."
The boys involved in the Sopore attack were barely in their teens -- one of them was 12 years old, the other 13. Sons of vegetable vendors, they never went to school. The two were released after their families gave personal bonds.
"We gave them counselling too," said Ahmed.
But the bigger question of dealing with children like them, remain.
"We are taking steps. The local police are getting in touch with parents and NGOs are helping us," said Ramesh.

Aku tau, lashkar-et Taiba malahan gerakan pemberontak lain pun sama. Perangai guna perangai india paria. Ikut perangai bangsa asal.

Penerangan yang tepat dan membantu. Cuma area sana memang isunya kanak-kanak akan diculik dan dipaksa jadi tentera dan buruh paksaan. Walaupuun ada pihak pentadbir atau gerakan Islamiyah, kanak -kanak masih tak terjamin nasibnya berbanding di Malaysia ini.....

Sebenarnya aku amat harapkan Malaysia takkan ada terrorist. Tapi yang makin meningkat kini ialah act of terror yang boleh menyebabkan kegelisahan, ketakutan dan rasa tidak selamat yang kian menebal.

Taliban ni walaupun origin kat tanah gersang tapi idea nya ekstrem. Tindakannya tak akan ikut normaliti dan formaliti.... Sebab pandangan mereka dirasakan lurus (dari segi agama, perbuatan membetulkan kehidupan masyarakat masih salah dan kasar). Kalau benar, mereka harus berlembu dan bertolak ansur dalam mendekati masyarakat dan menyemai pemahaman undang-unang serta peraturan dahulu.

Joseph Kony considers himself quite a good Christian, and he wants Uganda to be a Christian nation. So in 1987 he formed a resistance group called the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), and the LRA has been at civil war against the Ugandan government ever since. If the LRA wins, Kony has promised that Uganda will become a theocracy, with laws based on the Biblical Ten Commandments.

Kony's LRA has kidnapped an estimated 20,000 children for use as fighters or sex slaves. As part of their initiation, these children are often required to kill their own parents, so they'll have no homes to return to. (It's not clear which of the Ten Commandments Kony's strategy is based on.) Once kidnapped, children are used as pack mules, carrying LRA supplies until they are too weak to walk, at which time they're killed or simply left to die. Kidnapped boys also serve as targets and decoys, sent to the front lines -- unarmed -- whenever the Ugandan Army engages the LRA. Kidnapped girls that Kony or his senior commanders find attractive become their "wives" (Kony is reputed to have 60). Troublesome captives have their noses, lips, and/or ears cut off, and are then made to eat their own flesh.

Kony and the Ugandan government occasionally issue public statements suggesting that peace negotiations would be welcome, but this seems unlikely. When asked about peace talks recently, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said Kony and the LRA's senior commanders must die. "The wages of sin is death", he added. And that's Biblical, too.

As a youngster, Kony was a Catholic altar boy. Now he says he gets strategic advice from angels. There are eight of these angels, he says -- three American, two Sudanese, two Chinese, and one Congolese.

Kony is reported to enjoy wearing women's dresses. The Ugandan Army has offered an $11,000 reward for information leading to Kony's capture. That's right: eleven thousand dollars.

FYI Lashkar e-Taiba telah ditubuhkan pada 1990.
