Dreamwork's blockbuster musical, 'Shrek The Musical' will be coming to Malaysia this June! After the roaring success of world famous award-winning musicals 'The Sound of Music', 'West Side Story', 'Disney’s Beauty and the Beast' and 'Chicago The Musical', Malaysia’s premier live entertainment company Yvents! is now exclusively bringing to Malaysia the new blockbuster musical,'Dreamworks 'Shrek The Musical'.

Based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, Shrek The Musical is currently taking London's West End by storm. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t stop talking, a villain with a ‘short’ temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek.

Featuring a terrific score of 19 all-new songs as well as cult Shrek anthem ‘I’m a Believer’, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking sets, costumes and scenery, and boasting a 70-strong cast, orchestra and crew, Dreamworks 'Shrek The Musical' is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for the whole family!

Dreamworks 'Shrek The Musical' runs in Malaysia from 19-24 June 2012 at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
