KUALA LUMPUR: A 25-year-old gave his MyKad to his boss on his first day of work. Now, he is facing 85 police reports for cheating involving RM180,000 worth of IT goods.
Woon Kian Fatt's ex-boss had used his personal information to cheat customers through an online shopping website.
Woon said he was shocked when a man appeared on his doorstep on Oct 9, demanding the return of goods that he (Woon) supposedly ordered from him.
“The man came with a copy of a MyKad that had my personal details but a different picture and told me that he got my address from the website,” Woon said during a press conference organised by MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong at Wisma MCA yesterday.
He recognised the man in the picture right away as his former employer who sacked him after he had worked as a despatch staff for barely three weeks.
The company was involved in selling IT goods on a local website.
Woon said he sensed something amiss after receiving a call from his ex-boss who asked him to lodge a police report that his MyKad was missing to ensure he would not be entangled in the company's problems.
Woon decided not to do so.
Instead, he lodged a police report on Oct 6.
“I am unable to secure a job now as employers would be afraid they will be dragged into this,” he said, adding that he wanted to clear his name.
so soklannya,
kekadang kita g mana mana pejabat beso2, diorg akan minta MyKad utk tukar jadi pass ke, takpon, g hotel pun minta MyKad....
Bleh ke bagi kalau gini pun bleh jadik...............???? |

takder masalah asalkan salinan Mykad tu dipalang..kalau boleh kita sendiri yg palangkan....tp biasanya kalau kakitangan bank dia akan palang dan letak cop gitu.. |

awak, co tu memg valid dia punya survey, tapi pekerja dia..?
macam mana kita nak make sure, dia btul2 jujur..
better awak palangkan je (salinan IC), supaya ic tu, takkan di buat salinan lain lagi

wra dh penah terkena time apply utk astro.. mmg la depan kita wakil astro tu palang salinan ic tu tp baru2 ni dpt tahu ada org guna my ic tu utk apply astro kt gemas.. makna nya still x selamat even dh berpalang pun...

tapikan..let say la kita apply ccard kat Maybank.of course kita palang n tulis for Maybank use only.but camne lak ade yg bijak pandai,manipulatekan utk apply mcm2 facility dr Maybank?siap jadik penjamin tah sape2 yg apply loan kat Maybank ke?as long
as Maybank use only?
aku just terpikir la kemungkinan2 camni..risau gak aku..takut dalam nak jadik pengguna bijak,terkena gak kita.. |

erm katakan dia mintak copy IC, dia kata either fax or email. pastu aku ckp lagi senang email. boleh ke aku nak bubuh watermark kat IC tu?
kalau boleh, apa perkataan yg boleh aku guna?
sbb aku fikir, email lagi senang, sbb ada bukti sapa recipient, boleh trace, etc. |

sila jgn tulis " Maybank USe " atau nama2 lain kat Mykad copy kita...just palangkan sahaja....buat 2 palang atau pangkah secara menyilang....lebih best kalau guna marker pen....tp jgn la plak kita palang menyilang sampai tak nampak butir2 peribadi kat atas Mykad Tu... |

buat dan jadikan habit..... |
