Recently, we had a Toyota Vellfire come in where the owner noticed a light “whirring” sound from the engine bay.
Many drivers think it’s a major problem, but one common source is actually the Alternator (charge motor).

When the alternator bearing starts to age, the sound becomes slightly louder during idling or when accelerating.
It doesn’t always mean something is failing — but it does mean your vehicle should be checked to maintain smooth performance.
