UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities:
• Provide primary UNIX and at times LINUX System Administration for TI’s manufacturing operations.
• To work cross functionally with other system administrators, operations staff, DBAs, Network operations, Manufacturing teams, and application support teams across IT to provide support for this complex manufacturing compute environment.
• Provide 7x24 on-call supports as needed to resolve and prevent IT issues from impacting wafer movement.
• To ramp up quickly in current environment and provide leadership in making process and support decisions to improve environment.
• To navigate through complex and diverse UNIX infrastructure environment, partnering with multiple IT groups, investigate potential solutions and leveraging standard processes prior implementing changes to environment.
• Provide daily support and troubleshooting for test and production hardware, software, and operations issues.
• Define and configure hardware and software components as necessary to support business project initiatives and manage the project implementation.
• To lead complex projects and ensure completion.
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Preferably those with at least 2 years of working experience on Solaris operating system and hardware.
• In depth knowledge in Veritas Foundation suite of products (netbackup, VCS, VXFS, VXVM, etc).
• Experience in the implementation of hardware and software maintenance following defined processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of UNIX security and authorization functionality.
• Essential skills: NIS, NIS+, LDAP, NFS, and DNS protocols.
• Additional skills: C, Perl, Korn shell programming languages.
• Knowledge of LINUX operating systems is an added advantage.
• Experience and have interest in leading complex projects.
• Strong customer support, communications skills and able to work in team.
• NetApps knowledge will be advantage.
IT HELPDESK (AUTOMATION & APPLICATION SUPPORT)
Responsibilities:
• Provide IT helpdesk support for TI manufacturing sites worldwide (Wafer Fab and Assembly Test factories) by interact with customers via the phone/email, and log problems into the STARS/Remedy ticket system.
• Provide 1st level troubleshooting and resolve issues by following documented processes or escalate tickets as needed. Also be responsible for updating process and support documentation as needed.
• Monitor environment via monitoring tools, tickets and/or email messages.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, Unix/Linux and Citrix Clients both at a hardware and software level.
• Provide assistance for Automation Applications and interact with Application Support Teams.
• Provide basic Windows and Unix/Linux administrative (sys admin) support as needed to troubleshoot and update systems as needed.
• Provide troubleshooting and installation assistance with devices such as printer, BarCode Readers, Mice and other peripherals as needed.
• Perform Software installation, configuration and troubleshooting as needed on productivity applications and automation applications.
• Provide installation, configuration and troubleshooting assistance on Wafer Fab / Assembly Test equipments such as EMCAs, Gammas, WYSE Thin Clients, etc.
• Provide 24/7 support by working on shift.
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience providing IT support (preferably in an IT call center or IT helpdesk service environment).
• Strong network troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Windows, and Citrix Thin Clients systems, both Software and Hardware.
• Knowledge and experience in UNIX application support and Unix Scripting. Experience in supporting Factory Automation applications, Programming background (C/C++, Perl script/Perl cgi, Java), or Open Systems Storage (i.e. NetApp, EMC, HDS, etc).
• Possess analytical problem solving skills and process oriented.
• Must be able to respond to situations in a methodical way and prioritize tasks effectively, as well as effectively communicate complex technical information to all levels of management in a professional and articulate manner.
• Excellent English verbal/written with customer service skills.
• Must be able to work on shift rotation working hours. |

MAINFRAME SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Responsibilities:
• Effectively monitor and support the Job scheduling needs of the Mainframe and Distributed systems and to monitor and support the Mainframe Environment at TI.
• Interact with customers via the phone and email.
• Update problem documentation via the STARS ticket system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues by following documented processes.
• Update process and support documentation as needed.
• Monitor environment via monitoring tools, tickets and/or email messages.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, Unix/Linux and Mainframe based on monitoring.
• Responsible for documenting and escalating tickets/abends as needed.
• Responsible for escalating to programmers when jobs are running behind schedule.
• Provide Level 1 assistance to Application Support Teams and programmers.
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 3-5 years experience providing support in an IT environment.
• Experience with Windows, UNIX and Mainframe.
• BMC Patrol Express and/or Performance Manager Monitoring Tools.
• IBM Mainframe Console Operations (JES2 or JES3 background).
• IBM Mainframe skills such as JCL, IMS, HMC, HSM, TSO, Netview, etc.
• Experience in Production Job Scheduling Systems.
• Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills, process oriented and proactive approach to work.
• Good communications and effective customer service skills.
• Self motivating, independent thinking and good time management skills.
• Must be able to work on shift rotation working hours.
RTD (REAL TIME DISPATCH) DEVELOPER
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience programming APF RTD (Real Time Dispatcher) dispatching rules.
• 2-3 years of RTD system admin work.
• 2-3 years working in Unix, Oracle, and Message bus technologies.
• At least 5 years in Semiconductor Manufacturing (FAB or A/T).
• Basic SQL knowledge, and experience in VB programming will be added advantage.
• Working knowledge of the following RTD application is a plus :
o Applied Materials APF RTD (Real Time Dispatcher), or previously known as,
o Brooks APF RTD (Real Time Dispatcher), or previously known as,
o Daifuku APF RTD (Real Time Dispatcher), or previously known as,
o AutoSimulations APF RTD (Real Time Dispatcher)
• Demonstrated know how on how to overcome human resistance to change in manufacturing environments, specially implementing RTD.
• Experience and have interest in leading complex projects.
• Strong communications skills, able to work in team and must be able to train.
• Possess analytical problem solving skills and process oriented.
Responsibilities:
• Supports highly technical duties associated with the construction, implementation, maintenance and repair of RTD Rules.
• Support scope will be at regional level mainly for the TI Assembly/Test manufacturing plants in Malaysia, Taiwan & Philippines and could possibly expand to Asia Pacific region.
• Work with TI Manufacturing sites and the IT group in TI Dallas HQ on data integration for RTD Rule Development
