STEVE BENNETT
HIS STYLE
A strict and stern disciplinarian, the experienced 47-year-old has no patience for ill-discipline from players and officials alike.
Bennett has a long-standing feud with Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who has criticised the Kent official on several occasions.
HE LIKES CARDS
In the 2005/06 season, Bennett was rated the most impatient referee: He produced a card every 6.9 fouls - the fastest to produce cards amongst Premiership referees that season.
HE GOT IT WRONG
In January 2005, he gave Bolton a penalty at Blackburn after El Hadji Diouf dived over Brad Friedel and rolled over three times.
Awarded West Ham a goal against Middlesbrough in October 2006 when Teddy Sheringham's shot did not cross the line.
WHO HE KEEPS AN EYE ON
Cristiano Ronaldo. Bennett has sent the Man Utd winger off twice - the first at the Manchester derby in January 2006, the second was this season's opener against Portsmouth.
DO YOU KNOW?
In the 12 EPL games that Man United played with Bennett in charge, the Red Devils won eight, drew two and lost two. The last home defeat came in March 2002 - a 1-0 loss against Boro.
In 12 games that Bennett refereed for Liverpool, the Reds won seven, drew two and lost three. All the defeats came in away trips.
FACTS & FIGURES
2007/08 EPL Season:
25 games
78 yellow cards (3.12 per game)
4 red cards (1 every 6 games)
2006/07:
28 games
93 yellow cards (3.32 per game)
5 red cards (1 every five games)
2005/06:

109 yellow cads (3.63 per game)
10 red cards
MARK CLATTENBURG
HIS STYLE
| [size=-2]--Pictures: ACTION IMAGES | The youngest Fifa referee in England, the 33-year-old has shown in the past an ineptitude in big matches - especially derbies.
HE LIKES CARDS
This season, Clattenburg has flashed the red card seven times in 21 games so far. Six of the sending-offs came in two spells of back-to-back games. In the game between Tottenham and Man United, he meeted out 10 yellow cards, seven of them to Man United.
HE GOT IT WRONG
Failed to award Spurs a goal in January 2005 when Pedro Mendes' 50m shot was bundled over the line by Roy Carroll.
Made two howlers at last October's Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park. First, he failed to send off Dirk Kuyt for a two-footed lunge on Phil Neville, then he denied Everton a clear penalty late in the game. Everton lost 1-2.
WHO HE KEEPS AN EYE ON
Veteran managers who talk too much, apparently. He has banished Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock and Sir Alex Ferguson to the stands for 'talking too much'.
DO YOU KNOW?
In the eight games that Arsenal played with Clattenburg as referee over the past three seasons, they won six, drew one and lost one - the 1-0 away defeat against Everton last March.
Over the same period, Chelsea won three, drew one and lost one in the five games Clattenburg refereed.
