150 billion in 5 years for defence and aerospace? that's a lot of money, 30 billion a year. i wonder what they wanna do/buy/produce/develop with that amount, join the pak-fa perhaps?

I think the figure should be RM150 million, which is just right for defence research and development. It can't be in billions. Not even Japan or China has an R&D budget that high.

No, I think the report is right, bcoz it is not a year budget, it will cover a span of 5 years, furthermore it's not for defence alone, u see the word aerospace there. Aerospace venture ain't cheap, especially if u wanna go to the moon, but I'm not saying we are going there, maybe just above the stratosphere or slightly higher till the moon's orbit. Even if we dont go to the moon, we might spend that money on other aerospace project which I'm not in the knowledge to share with u. For example, MAS has expressed its intention to buy 55 narrow body and maybe up to 55 also wide body a/crafts, pending on requirement and negotiation, this will of course cost billions and billions of ringgit, that is just an example on where and how the money is expected to be spent. 150 million for defence and aerospace project is peanut in 5 years if u asked me...

Read the article again. It says for the defence and aerospace sectors. Not just for R&D. Throw in commercial airliners, satelites, airport construction, etc. The amount could be right.
