Dell CDRom doesn't work...

Hi all,
             My Dell laptop CDRom most of the time cannot detect the cd I inserted. I tried to clean it with the cleaner cd few times, still the same. What should I do? Can I send to normal computer shop to replace my CDRom? My laptop has no more warranty.

yeah.. I noticed the cd-rom drive issues with Dell's laptop lineups long ago.

eject the cd tray to the max, and check the cable (floppy cable) under the cd tray.

Ganti je. CD-ROM cleaners are just tipu and useless.. Ganti pun tak mahal...
