You can only read one of these types of books for the rest of your life, which are you choosing?
Detective and Mystery
The plot always revolves around a crime of sorts that must be solved—or foiled—by the protagonists.

Classics
You may think of these books as the throwback readings you were assigned in English class. The classics have been around for decades, and were often groundbreaking stories at their publish time, but have continued to be impactful for generations, serving as the foundation for many popular works we read today

I will choose classic. Sebab classic book ni just being published for a long time ago and still evergreen. It just referred to period time of.

But even classic ada banyak genre. Very broad.  Thats why i chose it.
- Nak thriller ada Wilkie Collins, Bram Stoker.
- Nak detective ada Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh.
- Nak love story ada Bronte's sisters, Jane Austen, Ernst Hemingway.

Pendek kata classic theme ni flexible. All in.

Anna Karenina best jugak klu u suka baca novel drama yg bermain dengan perasaan. Jalan cerita xdelah surprising atau twisting sangat. Tapi karya Tolstoy ni ada 'DEPTH dan engagement dgn perasaan pembaca. Jadi readers could feel the connection with the story.

Afterall Tolystoy ni kan penulis agung Rusia. Even Tsar Nicholas ll pun left him in peace supaya dia boleh terus berkarya.

Dulu2 masa muda I read  classics such as novels by  Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Harper Lee, D H Lawrence, the Brontes, etc. Bila dah kerja I came across  a Catherine Cookson's novel... Terus minat dan cari her novels in the library. Her novels are so realistic and rustic

Charles Dickens ni jarang saya baca. Sebab mostly karya beliau ni thought provoking.  Saya amat memerlukan clearness of mind, attentiveness dan right mood utk mendalami karya beliau. Antara tajuk yg saya dah baca termasuk Great Expectation; A Tale of Two Cities,  The Seven Poor Travellers. Yg lain xingat.

Buku beliau yg ni saya beli dah lama. Belum baca. Still dalam plastik cover. Buat perhiasan kediaman bersama buku2 lain

Mula dgn sir arthur conan doyle dari zaman school dulu. Sbb i dulu pustakawan sekolah, jadi ada series baru je mesti la dpt baca dulu.. pastu jangkit ngn kwn2, bila ada new series je kitorg cepat2 pinjam n tukar sesama.. laaa ni masih teruskan lagi dgn novel mystery detective cuma beralih ke author john grisham, james patterson.

Novel romantic pon layan gak. Tapi tgok sinopsis dulu laa.. hihi..
