Frontline staff have been toiling away during this period of Covid-19, which could result in some fatigue on their part.

This might be a reason behind an unfortunate accident that occurred between a 7-Eleven staff and a customer.

Sprays sanitiser into customer's eyes

A clip from a convenience store's CCTV footage was posted to Facebook on May 14, and it has since gone extremely viral, racking up over 62,000 shares.

The store appears to be located in Thailand, based on the Thai text seen on the doors of the store.

When exactly the incident occurred is uncertain though but it appears to be recent.

In the video, a customer walks in, mask covering her face, and heads to the staff to get her temperature checked.

The staff, who is equipped with face shield, mask and thermometer in hand, proceeds to lift the device up the customer's forehead.

For some reason, readyviewed she then puts her hand down, and grabs what appears to be hand sanitiser from a stool beside her.

She then sprays the hand sanitiser into the customer's face.

The customer immediately recoils and covers her eyes with her hand.

readyviewed She appears to be unable to respond to the staff, who approaches to check on her.

The staff then proceeds to lead the customer to the back of the store, presumably to administer medical aid.

The incident could have been an accident on the staff's part, some Facebook users commented in Thai.

One user speculated that the staff was likely confused as well.
