Opera offer a better solution for this...

• Step 1 - Right-click anywhere within the page (non-image), pilih menu Block content...
  
  
• Step 2 - Click on the image to block all content from the domain e.g. to block all images from
  http://planet.time.net.my/KLCC/freekey/*. To block only single image, hold the shift key while clicking on the image.
  
  
  
  
• Step 3 - To unblock, just click on the Details button and choose Delete. Press Cancel.

Tips 2 - Quick Preferences


Misalnya, kalau korang nak turn on/off proxy.. just press F12 untuk check/uncheck "enable proxy servers"..

More options..

icon utk personal bar tu ko buat sendiri ke?
ada memana tmpt donlod icon?ke leh guna std icon je??
cepatla ajar... aku tgh customise opera aku ni hahaha

Tips 3 - Customizing Toolbar/Personal Bar


Memula aku nak guna icon kat internet.. Tp bila belek2 cuma beberapa icon je yg sesuai.. So last2 terpaksa buat sendiri gak.

Aku kat opis ni, kalau nak ajar details kena tunggu aku balik umah.

Tp secara kasarnya Opera memerlukan format *.png (Portable Network Graphics) utk icon kat toolbar ni. Recommended icon height would be 25 pixels. Lebar dia tak kisah sangat tp klu boleh janganlah lebar sangat. Pastu.. kalau icon tu bukan empat segi, ko kena jadikannya transparent.

Kalo ko guna IrfanView, senang je nak buat.

Actually, certain websites dah ada ikon sendiri. So, ko just cuma perlu drag tab window webpage tu kepada toolbar tu.

Cthnya, GMail & Forum Cari ada icon sendiri.

Benda2 yg diperlukan kalo ko nak buat icon sendiri:

• C:\My Programs\Misc\Opera\skin\My Skin.zip
• C:\My Programs\Misc\Opera\profile\toolbar\standard_toolbar (1).ini

My Skin.zip tu ko boleh letak apa2 nama. Memula copy dulu fail standard_skin.zip. Just copy & paste kat same directory. Nanti dia akan automatik jadi fail Copy of standard_skin.zip. So, rename lah Copy of standard_skin.zip tu jadi nama fail yg ko suka.

Then, bukak fail tu dan create folder baru kat dalamnya cth. mybuttons. So, letaklah semua icon yg ko dah create kat dalam folder tu. As a final step at this stage is to edit the skin.ini inside the My Skin.zip (root directory). Cari entry [Images]

Edit supaya jd mcm ni:
[Images]
;Additional Buttons
IE                        = mybuttons/myie.png
Opera                        = mybuttons/opera.png
Celebs                        = mybuttons/celebs.png
Software                = mybuttons/sw.png
Hardware                = mybuttons/hw.png
AF                        = mybuttons/strike.png
Handphone                = mybuttons/handphone.png

Window Browser Icon                                = icons/opera.png
Window Hotlist Icon                                = buttons/panels.png

Teks berwarna merah ialah teks yg ditambah. 1st part (before =) is the name for the icon. The 2nd part of course the location of the image.

Anyway, apa maksud ko dgn favicon  tu? Tak paham arr..

standard_toolbar.ini tu apa guna dia?

favicon tu icon yg kluar masa kita surf webpage...klu buat bookmark,icon ni gak yg kuar sebelah description page tu. Ada webpage yg ada...mcm cari.com, download.com... ada yang takde, guna stdd favicon je.

Tips 4 - Hapuskan Pop-Up Windows!!!


Bagi mereka2 yang ada masalah menggunakan Opera dengan forum CARI ni.. Sebab asyik terklik, kemudian akan muncul advertisement pop-ups..

JANGAN PANIK!!!

Gunakan feature Edit Site Preferences!!

Tekan F12 dan pilih option Edit Site Preferences



Under tab General, pilih drop-down list Block all pop-ups! Ianya cuma akan berkesan ke atas seluruh domain forum.cari.com.my tidak kepada website2 yang lain..

Untuk membuka pop-up secara manual, terus middle-click/gunakan wheel button kepada link yang berkenaan. Tiada masalah!!

Bestnya OPERA ni...

Sekarang aku makin suka guna Opera sebab boleh letak Personal Bar kat tepi kiri browser.. And dekat Personal Bar tu aku boleh letak segala mak nenek Bookmarks!!

Tp kan.. Opera punya.. The 1st page tu sahaja yg akan bukak dlm Opera punya tab.. After that kalau within that IE tab tu ada link yg open new window.. dia akan bukak window IE.. bukan Opera tab lagi..
