One Direction are quite possibly the richest self made only-just-turned-twenty-somethings on the planet – from their perfumes, books, DVDs, blockbuster movies world tours and of course millions of record sales the famous five are believed to be worth a staggering £100 million combined. But two of the band’s members are just slightly better off than the other three as both Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have been revealed to be the wealthiest members of the group after receiving extra royalties for writing some of 1D’s biggest hits. Typically song writers can earn around nine per cent of each tracks royalties and when you’re shifting copies at the rate these guys are with a new album every year, that is a whole lot of cash heading their way. And it sounds as though the financial gap between the band mates is only going to grow further after 20-year-old Liam recently admitted they’re working on even more material. Discussing his hopes of becoming the next Lennon and McCartney, Liam recently explained to the Sun newspaper: ''Louis and I have a little partnership going on. We've been pretty keen to start writing straight away.” ''I've been in the studio already, it's been going really well. Learning how to write is the best way of ensuring your career has longevity and that you have control over it.'' So just when you thought the boys have churned out enough new music in their three years in the biz, Liam hinted we could be expecting even more music from the ‘Little Things’ chart-toppers soon, insisting he thinks this is going to be their best record yet! ''I really think the next album is going to be a game-changer for us. I'm excited .'' Meanwhile the guys are set to have their most lucrative year yet as they release their new fragrance 'That Moment' as well as not one but two new books, a potential new album and of course their enormous 'Where We Are' world tour which sees the band performing in some of the biggest stadiums in the world.
