 Katy Perry's music video for "Dark Horse" has been edited after a petition demanded that she remove a pendant with the word "Allah" written on it. Shazad Iqbal, the U.K. resident who wrote started the petition on Change.org, claimed that the usage of the word was "highly controversial." Around the video's 1:15 mark, a man who is trying to court Perry is seen wearing the necklace as he is being burned. "Such goes to show, that blasphemy is clearly conveyed in the video, since Katy Perry (who appears to be representing an opposition of God) engulfs the believe and the word God in flames," the petition read. "This is the reason for lodging the petition, so that people from different walks of life, different religions and from different parts of the world, agree that the video promotes blasphemy, using the name of God in an irrelevant and distasteful manner would be considered inappropriate by any religion." The petition garnered over 65,000 signatures and yesterday Iqbal announced that the image had been edited out. "Guys I'm thrilled to let you all know the name of Allah has been removed from the 'Dark Horse' video," he said. "We couldn't have done it without everyone's support, so I thank each and every one of you deeply." Perry premiered the colorful video on Feb. 20 and has been performing live renditions at both the 2014 Brit Awards and the Grammys. Eonline
