Love a bit of Disney to whistle while you work? Then you should really listen to this. The Idina Menzel-performed song Let It Go from Disney’s latest blockbuster Frozen has become a hit across the internet and been translated into every language imaginable – Batman’s Mr Freeze even has his own version. Even still, one creative YouTube user called Malinda Kathleen Reese has managed to stand out with her own unique spin on the Oscar-nominated favourite. Using Google Translate, she has translated the words from English into other languages including French, Polish and Chinese, then translated them back again into English. Anyone who has ever tried to use an online translator knows what’s coming… The words no longer make sense and have aq comical new meaning. Lines which originally read as, ‘The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen/A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I’m the Queen’, have now become ‘Lit white snow on the mountain tonight, no visible legs/Discrimination law is probably the queen.’ The last translated line sounds like it could be more from a Lady GaGa song instead of Disney. Take a listen for yourself. -Metro.
