PHOTOS: 2014 DETROIT AUTO SHOW: TOP MOMENTS FROM THE FLOOR The 2014 Detroit Auto Show has seen a lot of exciting and outrageous new machinery during the two media preview days. The ATS Coupe is expected to have an entry-level price around $35,000. Compared to some other vehicles here at the show, the Cadillac ATS Coupe might seem tame and surprisingly toned down – at least for the brand that introduced tailfins so many years ago! RELATED: THESE 5 CARS AND TRUCKS MATTER MOST AT THE 2014 DETROIT AUTO SHOW...AND HERE’S WHY That’s fine with us, because this two-door version of the ATS sedan is exactly what Cadillac needs, as the brand goes head-to-head with cars like the BMW M4, Audi A5, Lexus IS and Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe. Cadillac’s stand here in Detroit was absolutely crammed with journalists, which made admiring this coupe’s lines a little more stressful than expected. Still, we think the conservative bodywork suits this car quite well. Nearly ever body panel is unique to the coupe, although on first glance it's tough to spot any major difference between this and its four-door sibling. That eases worries that Caddy might have sacrificed rear seat space and legroom in the name of (slightly) sportier styling. Nearly every body panel is unique to the coupe, though it’s hard to spot any major design difference between the 4 and 2-door variants of the ATS. (The coupe does have a slightly wider front and rear track.)
